Why Add is the Spotlight-Stealing Squad?
Here is a possibility: Add is a blatant Creator's Favorite who tries to be a Breakout Character.

  • He does seem to be one of Hwansang's favorites to draw along with Lu/Ciel on Twitter.

Ain's 3rd job path's backstory will literally be that he poked a dark El shard and became evil.
It's gonna go like this: one day, Ain wondered what would happen if he poked Dark El. He thought that something bad may happen to him if he touched it. But he could not contain the burning curiosity and decided to poke a dark El shard. Nothing happened at first, but he slowly felt himself changing. He started thinking about the inner workings of the world and the morality of genocide. He began talking obssesively and only about eradicating demons. He got annoyed that the El Search Party was wasting so much time not fighting demons, and quit them to fight on his own. However, he quickly ran out of energy. While looking for a way to get more, he learned that ingesting Dark El could enhance his powers at the cost of his sanity. "What's the worst that could happen?" he thought as he swallowed 5 pounds of dark El shards. His body nearly exploded from the amount of energy it now contained. He now fights with a darkness-enhanced weapon as a Lofty:Elsharder.

Second job: "We did it once, so we might as well do it again," thought Ain as he ate 10 more dark El shards. Suddenly, the dark El energy had a violent reaction with the "God's Power" and "Power of El" that he naturally possessed. All three of them combined together and formed the "Dark God's El Power". For having this new power which could potentially destroy the universe, the universe had to take something from him for using it: his entire face was ripped off and replaced with pure dark energy, which he wears a mask to hide. In addition, his skin became covered with the marks of the ancient god of darkness, Henir, granting him unlimited strength. Having lost his memories of the El Search Party, he now hunts for demons with his Dark God's El Power, or DGEP, enchanced weapons and can chaotically toss the enemy around as well as exploding energy inside them, as the force of Darkness, or some German word.

Oh, and this will be the canon job path in the cutscenes.

  • Mostly wrong.

Ain's Transform/3rd path will be canon in the cutscenes
A more serious follow up to the above, whatever Ain's 3rd path is I have a feeling it will become the canon path. Arme Thaumaturgy would probably not be with the El Search Party anymore since he wouldn't want to team up with humans. Some might say Erbluhen Emotion will be the canon path, but it just seems weird to me. EE is already more like a Transform path than Rebellion because of his new system, and in my opinion he wouldn't fit with the rest of the cast. Everyone else is basically "a good and righteous hero" (even Reckless Fist and Lunatic Psyker because their insanity is completely ignored because of Raven atoning for his sins and Add being not much more than a morally questionable teenager) who is definitely fighting for the good side, but EE is basically just some hippie joining them saying "Hey guys I have emotions now" but that doesn't necessarily put him on the good side. He feels like Rose, just some random guy who has powers fighting against the demons but not really in a heroic way, just to fufill someone's order. Meanwhile, for the Elgang it feels like all of them are being brave heroes saving the world (except Add maybe) even though they are all so young (most of them). And it would be interesting if his 3rd path became evil and went against the Elgang in the main story, like what RF's "my hand is slowly corrupting me" backstory could have become. A happy "Ain has emotions and is basically a human now" ending is boring.
  • Jossed: Ain is shown to have taken his EE path in Forgotten Elrian Sanctum's dialogue.

Laby is Demon Lord Aegirp, or at least a fragment of the demon lord
Laby's identity is quite vague but some hints points out about it. Elrianode chapter implies that Laby is a demon since she already in the Black Forest before the time of Nasod War centuries before the beginning. She No Sells Nenya's demonic aura that can even affect other demons, implies that Laby is possibly a high ranking demon. About Aegirp, Nenya reveals that the demon lord is alive but just as good as being dead. The demons also referred Aegirp as "she", revealing that Aegirp is female like Luciela. Aegirp's title is "White Ghost King (or rather Queen)". The demon lord is also the most open to peaceful coexistence between demons and mortals. Aegirp is possibly sealed away in Henir by enemy demons and this distorts her a lot until she ended up in the Black Forest, where a Henir rift said to appear, and becomes what is now Laby. Laby herself seems already familiar with Henir energy which reinforces that.

  • Rosso also presented the possibility that she may be 'spawn of a demon'. In other words, Laby might be, for instance, a half-demon; most likely, daughter of Aegirp, or at least tied to her. This would explain a lot about her, but it's hard to say if this is entirely plausible given some of her traits; we don't really have any other examples of half-demons to go off of in Elsword canon. (Ciel probably doesn't count, he transforms into a demon rather than being demonic by blood, if that makes any sense at all.)
