Future Shortz

Ideas for future shorts.

• Piccolo living on the Lookout.
  • We do see a little of this in DTF.
• Krillin going on a date with Android 18.

• Goku hanging out with King Kai in Otherworld.
• Mr. Satan watching Videl clean house in a martial arts tournament (not the World Martial Arts Tournament, but one for kids).
• Krillin and 18's wedding.
• Yamcha's baseball team playing in the World Series. If he wins, it influences his decision to retire from fighting in the Buu Saga to focus on his baseball career.
  • Semi-jossed. Episode 4 does cover his baseball career, but more focuses on the consequences of a superhuman like himself playing the big leagues.
• A day in the life on Shenron.
• Freeza meeting Cell in Hell (and having an evil-off).
  • Semi-jossed. That won't be part of this series, but TFS has a new series called HFIL about that premise.
• Vegeta and Bulma's wedding.
• Gohan's life in high school and meeting Videl.
  • Highly unlikely since that's something that happened in the Buu Saga and TFS has said that they won't be covering it in any way.
    • At this point, they could ignore the Buu Saga and create their own continuity. The sky's the limit.
• 17 trying to get a boat.
• Master Roshi tries (and fails miserably) No Nut November.
• The unadapted villains (Buu, Bojack, Hildegarn and Janemba) meet in a bar.
• Zarbon and Princess Snake go out on a date.
• Jeice accidentally ruins one of Burter's speedruns.
• The story of how Future Trunks got his sword from Tapion.
• The Jockstrap Incident.
• Goku meets Raditz, Gine, and Bardock in the afterlife.
• Dr. Gero attends a Red Ribbon Army conference meeting via Zoom.
• Bulma attends a science fair with Vegeta.
• Arale-chan fights Mr. Popo.
• A Halloween Special.
  • Confirmed for 2020, premiered on October 27th of that year.
• Tien running into Launch again.
• Nappa attempting to make a movie based on the Z-Fighters' exploits, much to the horror of the characters.
• Broly waking up from his coma and meeting a hypothetical alternate version of Cheelai. Broly will have suffered amnesia and acts more like his canonized characterization.
• Krillin, Yamcha, and Chiaotzu hanging out and deal with their own enemy.
• An Inside Out parody starring Piccolo, Nail and Kami in Piccolo's head.
• How Trunks and Goten go Super Saiyan in this 'verse. My guess is Trunks walked in on his parents having sex and went super that way.

These shorts are a sign that TFS is going to make their own version of Dragon Ball Z: Bojack Unbound.

There's a major obstacle to making an abridged version of the movie: Bojack and his minions don't have much dialogue. What better way to get around that than by using original footage?

• As of February 1, 2020, it looks like this will be how they do not just Bojack, but the entire Buu Saga, as the traditional DBZA has been canned.

Gohan will start middle school, and meet Videl there.

• He's already middle school aged, so there won't be a problem with changing his voice.

A later short will involve Vegeta Desperately Looking for a Purpose in Life.

• "DTF" has already established his midlife crisis and lack of anyone to fight, so that's where he'll likely go from there. Extra points if it involves him wanting to invite Krillin to a barbecue or enjoy a romantic comedy movie with Yamcha.

A potential finale for Dragon ShortZ will star Goku and be set post-Buu Saga.

• Since this series is set between the Cell and Buu arcs, the finale could be set sometime after the defeat of Majin Buu and will be about a recently resurrected Goku spending some time with his family and friends, revealing that most of the shorts were everyone else filling him in on what they were doing while he was dead during those seven years (assuming he wasn't watching over everyone after witnessing Goten's birth). It will end with him and Vegeta finally having that rematch, this time on friendlier terms.

Vegeta doesn't consider sparring with Android 17 because he forgot about him.

It would make for an entertaining source of comedy when he realized that he could have had the spars he wanted but because Android 18 left such a greater impact on him and 17's lack of a detectable Power Level caused his brain to forget that he could pose a challenge.

There will be a side series dedicated to Krillin and Lazuli's relationship.

Considering how much things change for Krillin between the end of the Cell Saga and the Buu Saga, it's not out of the realm of possibilities to say TFS sees the potential in making a series dedicated to those changes.
