Post Trauma is an upcoming psychological and survival horror game inspired by survival horror games of old, primarily Silent Hill 4, and is developed by Red Soul Games and published by Raw Fury.
Roman, a middle-aged train conductor, winds up becoming trapped in a surreal hellscape of flesh and gore, and must find his way out by fending off monsters and solving puzzles.
Announced at The Game Awards in 2022, it is set to release sometime in Spring 2024.
Post Trauma contains examples of:
- Abandoned Hospital: Part of the game takes place in one, with dirty floors and walls, draped bodies on gurneys and flickering lights.
- Carry a Big Stick: Throughout the trailers, Roman is seen carrying around a hammer in his hand.
- Fixed Camera: Much like it's main inspirations, Post Trauma makes use of fixed camera angles during multiple sections of the game.
- Heroic Mime: Roman has no dialogue in both the old demo and the game's trailers.
- Save Point: Tape recorders can be found, where you can put tapes in to save at.
- Shout-Out: One pre-release teaser posted on the game's Twitter showcases a hand sticking out of a toilet, with the caption wondering if it may be looking for paper.
- Tank Controls: Like Silent Hill and Resident Evil before it, the game makes use of tank controls in combination with the fixed camera angles. However, these can be turned off as an option if the player prefers not to use them.
