Post-Shift 2 is a Five Nights at Freddy's fan game developed by Rjac25. It is a sequel to his previous release, Post-Shift.

You are seeking a truth that has haunted you for years upon years. This is personal.

Acting on the role as a nightworker, the Compage Toys Co. facility and warehouse will be your start and very foundation for the questions, a newly established business that sits vicariously on the hells of a melancholy and grim past. These forces cannot be contained.

The darker evils at play, both strange and familiar, continue to plague and haunt the walls they are encapsulated within.

Restless, reconstructed and reprised, they are the only ones that remain with the true answers you seek.

And you are the only one who can answer their call.

Post-Shift 2 provides examples of:

  • A.I. Is a Crapshoot: William apparently couldn't control the Minaters, and the virtual simulation he installed to pacify them certainly didn't work out.
  • Alternate Continuity: The game series is set in a different version of the original Five Nights at Freddy's timeline, but the differences between both continuities are never quite established.
  • Anti-Villain: Despite everything, these animatronics are different than your usual survival enemy. They have no clear motive for murder besides basic self-righteousness this time around, making them seem less "evil" and more "doing what William programmed them to."
  • Ax-Crazy: Revenant Bonnie and Fredmare are especially insane out of all of the animatronics, being driven purely by wrath.
  • Big Bad Ensemble: Minater Freddy, Revenant Freddy, Subject 01 Freddy, Subject 05 Golden Freddy, Revenant Bonnie, and Revenant's End appear to be the main antagonists, but it's quite an Ambiguous Situation as to what significance they pose in comparison to the other characters.
  • Body Horror: The Revenant and Remnant animatronics are utterly wrecked beyond reason, more than the Withered animatronics from 2. Revenant Freddy even lacks his left arm, a trait shared with Bonnie in 2.
  • Bullying a Dragon: In the opening cutscene, the interviewer shocks Revenant Bonnie/One-Eye when Bonnie makes a threat to kill. The interviewer follows this up by threatening to take out his other eye if he doesn't comply. The interviewer is promptly punched hard in the face by One-Eye, before waking up next to Golden Freddy.
  • Darkness Equals Death: An animatronic preparing to kill the player upon failing to deter them is hinted at by the lights flickering repeatedly until the animatronic in question gives you a Jump Scare.
  • The Dreaded: According to the biography on Night 6, Subject 05 Golden Freddy is prone to violence after exposure to humans and salvage teams should stay away from him while he's stored in the vicinity room.
  • Drone of Dread: In Part A, when Minater Freddy activates, a low, echoing, muffled piano melody will play, and he will either spawn in the Construction Area or Cleaning and Sanitary. It sounds less like a piano and more like ominous droning ambience, and also serves to signify his presence.
  • Electronic Speech Impediment: Revenant Bonnie and various other animatronics speak with an electronic stutter, demonstrating that their voice boxes are broken.
  • Evil, Inc.: Compage Toys Co., serving as the replacement for the original franchise's Fazbear Entertainment, is responsible for the conflict this time around. How that is the case is another question in itself.
  • Evil Is Hammy: Every animatronic here speaks in an incredibly overt way in their voice lines.
  • Evil Sounds Deep: Revenant Bonnie, Revenant Freddy, Subject 01 Freddy, and Fredmare speak with very deep voices.
  • Excuse Plot: By official word from Rjac25 himself, and the credits for the game featuring no writer, this game has very little real plot. As a result, even when discovering everything about it, it becomes a Random Events Plot.
  • Expy: "Crafted Essence" is very clearly based on Plushtrap from the original fourth game.
  • Face–Monster Turn: For a brief moment, the animatronics "break control" of whatever is driving them to murder, as Minater Ballora informs you before Night 6. After she finishes her speech, she, along with the others, revert back to being hostile again.
  • Faux Affably Evil: During Part A, if you visit the Construction Area when Minater Freddy activates, he will welcome you to the toys in the Promotional Area (which he calls the gift shop), and will generally say cheerful things. Unfortunately, he also plans to kill you if you don't get there in 15 seconds.
  • Fusion Dance: In a Dual Boss with Emalgabot at the end of Night 6, Revenant's End is a messy fusion of every animatronic introduced in the game. In order to get what is seemingly the Golden Ending, the player character has to kill it.
  • Greater-Scope Villain: The overarching antagonist is heavily implied to be William Afton from the original games. Because the game uses an Excuse Plot, however, his contributions to the plot are unknown beyond creating the animatronics and failing to subdue them.
  • Hook Hand: Subject 02 Foxy has his right hand replaced with a hook, as to fit his original counterpart's pirate theme. Unusually, the other Foxy variants lack this feature.
  • Hostile Animatronics: Naturally, as a Five Nights at Freddy's fan game, the animatronics here antagonize you.
  • Mascot Villain: Revenant Bonnie/One-Eye is the game's mascot.
  • Meaningless Meaningful Words: The dialogue and narration constantly refer to the player "finding out the truth about themselves", even in the endings, but in reality, they just appear nonsensical because the game has no plot to build any drama from, making it come off as pretentious.
  • Mythology Gag: One of the piano melodies that both Minater Freddy and Subject 01 Freddy can play as their piano sound cues is "Toreador March", which is Classic Freddy's Leitmotif.
  • Present Day: The date of "the first incident" is late 2018, which is when the first game was released.
  • Red Baron: Revenant Bonnie is called "One-Eye". It is a truthful nickname because he does have one eye, but it's also a nickname referring to how big of a threat he is.
  • Red Right Hand: Revenant Bonnie's right eye is gone for unknown reasons.
  • Rule of Cool: The reason why most things in this game are how they are is because of aesthetic purposes.
  • Sadist: Pretty much every animatronic in this game has a voice line that implies they actually like to inflict harm on others. Golden Freddy (Subject 05) is the exception, in that he seems to be "helping" us. Of course, by Night 6, it turns out he's no different, being just as willing to kill the protagonist as the other characters.
  • Tutorial Failure: Each shift involves a starting tutorial that is mostly a Wall of Text, explaining how characters operate but little about how to play the game itself to survive them.
  • The Unfought: Despite William Afton being an important character, and therefore possibly being Springtrap like he is in 3, he is never battled throughout the game, the player fighting his creations instead.
