Released in 2023 for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Windows PCs, Lego 2K Drive is a racing game set in the world of Bricklandia. You play as a racer of your choice who, guided by world famous racing expert Clutch Racington, seek to claim the Sky Cup for your own. Standing in your way are several rivals who won't give up their checkered flags without a fight, chief among them being the cheater, jerk, and all around baddie Shadow Z.

This game provides examples of:

  • Big Boo's Haunt: Hauntsborough is a scary section of Bricklandia filled with all kinds of monsters and spooks.
  • Big Creepy-Crawlies: King Buzzo is a human-sized fly, as are his minions who race with him.
  • Book Ends: The first race you have in Big Butte County is against amateur stunt pilot and all-around moron Chip Howser. The final race is against his mother Brick, who’s a far better pilot than he is.
  • Card-Carrying Villain: Chamfered Bricks makes no effort to hide how much of a bad person he is.
  • Cool Train: Otto and Manuel's offroad car is a steam engine on wheels called the On-Rail Off-Roader.
  • Crazy Cat Lady: Bertie Backfire outright taught her cats how to drive, and her cars are all cat themed.
  • Defeat Means Playable: Downplayed twice.
    • You only get one of the rivals' cars after beating them in a race. You need to unlock the rest in the shop. Unfortunately, there is no legitimate way to obtain the Powerhorse (Sal’s boat) or the CATamaran (Bertie’s boat).
    • Beating a race on all three tiers unlocks the rival as a driver. However, you don’t unlock Sal or Fossil Fueler. Sal gives you one of his farmhands and Fossil Fueler gives you a costume of him.
  • Dem Bones: Fossil Fueler is a skeleton who likes to race. His cars all have a giant skull on them.
  • Disney Villain Death: Downplayed at the end of the game. Shadow Z falls from the Sky Cup Grand Prix course but survives. Then the Sky Cup falls on him, but he survives that too.
  • Dirty Coward: The reason Shadow Z claims he's unbeatable? He's never actually raced once in his life and just has the Shadow Squad do it for him, always finding a flimsy excuse as to why he can't actually be there in person.
  • Evil Brit: Both Chamfred Bricks and Smugglin' Sally have British accents. The former is a corrupt logging mill owner, and the latter is a nasty thief.
  • "Get Back Here!" Boss: Several quests see the player chase after Smugglin' Sally in a police car and open fire upon her with missiles.
  • The Greys: The aliens living in Big Butte County all fall in this stock depiction.
  • Headless Horseman: One of the rivals in Hauntsborough, Otto and Manuel, is one of these- though the game never says which is the horseman and which is the pumpkin head. Fittingly, their race is called Headless Horsepower.
  • Hugh Mann: One of the rivals, who is actually named Hugh Mann, is an alien doing a very poor job of disguising himself, and if it wasn’t more obvious, he drives flying saucers with wheels. His bad attempts at blending in have also gained the attention of several undercover agents who are investigating him and serve as his minions when you race him.
  • Jury Duty: Shadow Z uses this as his excuse as to why he can’t participate in the Big Butte Grand Brick Arena. Unsurprisingly, he’s lying- an NPC says no jury duty is scheduled for that day.
  • Logical Weakness: King Buzzo is a human sized fly. What weapon would work best on him? Spiders, of course!
  • Mad Scientist: Not only does Professor Freddy Fusion's track have several Tesla coils, which tie into his load out, but he also invents robots… They tend to go haywire and attack whomever they see.
  • Our Vampires Are Different: Baron von Rose fits most of the appearance tropes, but he's not a bad guy- he just loves to party.
  • Product Placement: Max Speed's loadout is an actual LEGO Creator set released in 2017. Similarly, all of Smugglin' Sally’s cars are real sets, too.
  • Punny Name: All over the place:
    • One of the commentators is named Parker Carr ("park your car" or "park her car").
    • Max Speed. True, Max can be short for Maxwell and Speed is a genuine last name, but the combination can also refer to maximum speed.
    • Fossil Fueler is a skeleton who races, but his name refers to fossil fuel (petroleum).
    • Otto and Manuel, two actually existing first names, but also the two most common transmission types (auto and manual).
    • And also the names of the many goons the rivals employ. Molly Powers, Ashe Ess, Kim Krashin…
  • Railroading: You won’t be able to do certain races until you clear the defense and robot attack minigames, or help unlock that biome’s jet packs.
  • Recurring Boss: Max Speed is the only rival who you will race more than once- one time in each biome.
  • The Reveal: The game’s fourth season added audio logs to Bricklandia, revealing a major truth about Shadow Z. That’s not his real name. His real name is actually Cecil. This also means the car Clutch gives you after beating Racing 101 for the first time was his old car.
  • Red and Black and Evil All Over: Shadow Z and his cars all have this color scheme.
    • Averted by Arachnorella, who wears red and black but is firmly a Friendly Rival and a prime example of Dark Is Not Evil. Her cars also don’t fall into this category sans her boat, the Wet Widow.
  • Shout-Out: Hauntsborough has a set of collectables called Smashing Pickups. They're pumpkins.
  • Silly Simian: The shop and garage are run by Unkie Monkey and his niece Sunny. Unkie likes to record advertisements for the shop, and Sunny is a genuinely fun loving chimp.
  • Sore Loser: Most of the rivals don’t get too angry when you beat them and they give you their flags. Chamfered Bricks, on the other hand, is livid with anger over losing.
  • Spider People: Arachnorella is a spider lady who drives spider themed cars and gets faster when she gets hit by spiders.
  • Third-Person Person: Laumina Foul occasionally speaks this way.
  • Wacky Racing: Many of the racers fit some theme (astronomer, aviator, prospector, robber baron, vampire, headless horseman), the races are held in oddball environments (dirt track with tornadoes, farm, cave full of spiders), and there are power-ups with offensive capabilities (missiles, machine guns, ghost form). Even some of the cars follow this strange style- how does racing on a couch-car or a giant fried chicken stand sound?
  • You Are Number 6: Shadow Z names all his Shadow Squad minions in the order in which he hired them, naming them all "Guy #1" and so forth. You do get to learn the names of two of them- Guy #2 is Jeff, and Guy #3 is Carla.
