Bondee's Barnyard: Safety Violation is a video game based off Five Nights at Freddy's by independent developer Otis Le PoOtis, it can be found here.

Tropes:

  • A Birthday, Not a Break: The child Player Character got trapped inside Bondee's Barnyard on their birthday, leaving them unable to escape by close and killing them the next morning.
  • Adaptational Achilles Heel:
    • Zigzagged with the suffocation mechanic has the same effect as the power mechanic in Five Nights at Freddy's where a percentage continuously lowers until it reaches 0% and the player dies, except that the percentage can be raised by opening the jaws of Kou. On the other hand the percentage running out kills the player instantly, without any grace period like Freddy singing before attacking.
    • Also zigzagged with Foxy equivalent Chickling, who is capable of charging at the player at random times, can charge multiple times in a row, and is capable of entering both doors. Nonetheless the monitor automatically focuses on Chickling when she charges so it is easier to time closing the door.
  • Adaptation Expansion: The game is an expansion of the between night cutscenes of Five Nights at Freddy's 2, with where the player character is sitting on the stage trapped inside an animatronic, only capable moving back and forth.
  • Anti-Frustration Feature: The animatronics won't attack you while the camera is active, as otherwise you wouldn't be able to defend yourself.
  • Artistic License – Physics: There is no reason why closing the doors will stop the player from breathing, except to act as equivalent to the power mechanic.
  • Bull Seeing Red: The custom night animatronic Tory the Bull is subdued by lowering red flags that appear in the room before they can attack.
  • Corrupted Character Copy: In Five Nights at Freddy's, the Security Guard is a Properly Paranoid protagonist who is defending themselves from the Hostile Animatronics, yet despite being attacked only defends themselves by preventing the animatronics from accessing their office. In Bondee's Barnyard the Security Guard is hostile to the player, a child trapped in Kou, shocking them for closing the doors or even opening up Kou's jaws to breath. Even their status at The Faceless makes them menacing as opposed to defenseless.
  • Diegetic Interface: A monitor in the back wall displays the players oxygen meter as well as the time.
  • Downer Ending: In spite of the child's efforts to stay alive, Kou shuts off automatically once it hits 6 AM, trapping the kid inside and causing them to suffocate to death.
  • Elite Mook: Björn is a combination of Grise and Fourly, being capable of showing up at either door but without any other gimmick.
  • Extremely Short Time Span: Each level is an hour, making the game take place over one night, as opposed to the titular Five Nights that Five Nights at Freddy's and most fangames take place during.
  • Eye Scream: Mother lacks eyes, and relies on sound to get around. If you close the door she shows up at, she will be attracted by the noise, get through the door and kill you. If you close the opposite door, however, she will wander away to investigate.
  • The Faceless: The Security Guard is represented entirely by the camera in the corner of the room.
  • Freudian Excuse: The reason the animatronics (Besides Kou) are attacking the child is because they accidentally scorched the Bondee animatronic by blowing out their birthday candles onto him, registering him as a danger to the establishment. Kou, however, doesn't attack, and instead promises to protect the child after seeing how distressed they are.
  • Gruesome Goat: Geet the goat. Every time it wakes up, it will face a direction, and interacting with that side of the screen will result in a jumpscare. Clicking on Geet directly will safely deactivate it.
  • Have a Nice Death: Losing will result in a game over screen with Kou lying on the floor with blood leaking out, and whatever animatronic who jumpscared them standing in front of them.
  • Hell Is That Noise: Pablo the Turtle's gimmick. When his music starts playing, you must ensure that your oxygen meter is above 75%, otherwise he'll kill you.
  • Hostile Animatronics:
    • Grise, Fourly, Chickley, and Bondee all attack the player due to mistaking them for a burglar. The custom night adds Pablo, Geet, Björn, Mother, and Tory.
    • The Security Guard mistakes Kou and the player for a threat, and shock them if they move in front of the camera.
  • Insecurity Camera: If the player moves while being watched by the camera they will be shocked, but the player knows they are being watched when the downward facing camera points up at the player making a loud crackling noise.
  • Shout-Out:
    • Björn from the bonus night was originally named Grizzly, which is a reference to the game Grizzly's, which Otis claims the game is based off.
    • In the post Hour 1 minigame, Grise asks the Chickling whether he should build his house out of straw, sticks, or bricks.
  • Weakened by the Light: Bondee is repelled by shining a light on the door he's in. The post Hour 3 minigame explains why; the Bondee animatronic was set ablaze by the Player Character blowing the candles into his face.
