Agent Hugo is a 2005 Action Game with Stealth-Based Game elements for computers running Windows and PlayStation 2 that's part of the Hugo the TV Troll franchise. Now the troll's a secret agent for an agency called R.I.S.K. and has to foil Dr. Nogo's plans while not getting by his organisation called SUSPECTRA.

The game received three sequels in the subsequent years: Agent Hugo: RoboRumble, Agent Hugo Lemoon Twist, and Agent Hugo Hula Holiday.

The game provides examples of:

  • Affectionate Parody: The game parodies James Bond and other spy films, with most of the characters being archetypes of the ones you'd normally find and the absurdity of a troll being the main agent protagonist.
  • And I'm the Queen of Sheba: When Hugo tells Felix that he's a member of R.I.S.K., he retorts that he's the president of the moon.
  • Bad Boss: Just one failure to deal with Hugo means getting zapped by Dr. Nogo.
Dr. Nogo: As you can see, we have a very tough… personnel policy! Failure is not accepted!
  • Bragging Theme Tune: "Gotcha" by B Boys, a rap number where they state how they follow Agent Hugo and how he's going to accomplish the mission, with lines like "You won't catch me Dr. Nogo, cause I'm gonna drive you loco" and "The future of the villains isn't all too bright".
  • The Brute: Oddjaw, one of Dr. Nogo's Co-Dragons, is known to be brutal, and he constantly expresses his desire to make things painful to Hugo.
  • Completion Meter: There's a screen that shows all the main and side missions you've completed.
  • Continuity Reboot: Hugo is taken into a new, more actiony direction. Characters from the original, like Scylla, Hugolina, and Hugo's children, are nowhere to be found.
  • Dislikes the New Guy: Agent 02 is highly dismissive of Hugo, first questioning how a troll could join their agency and later trying to find a justification as to how he can somehow succeed in the operations. He admits in the climax that he was jealous of the newbie getting all the attention, and after Hugo gets them out of the jam 02 landed them into, 02 fullheartedly declares Hugo to be the best R.I.S.K. agent.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: Dr. Nogo's whole motive to sink the whole Aquapolis is to get back at Miss Alltoobright for breaking off their engagement.
  • Dressing as the Enemy: The Suspectra outfit lets Hugo wear an outfit exactly like the one worn by the evil agents.
  • Easily Forgiven: Honeybunny is easily accepted back by R.I.S.K. after she shows up to tell where Dr. Nogo is heading towards with the last load of sodium chloride.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Honeybunny turns out to be Dr. Nogo's double agent, but she's disturbed to witness Nogo losing his grip and impulsively executing minions for failing only once. This leads her to returning to R.I.S.K. and helping taking Dr. Nogo down.
  • Foreshadowing: When a wiretap reveals to R.I.S.K. personnel that there's a double agent among them, we get a shot of Honeybunny looking startled.
  • Fun with Acronyms: R.I.S.K. (Risky Intelligent Spy Knights), the agency Hugo is in.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Honeybunny returns to the good side once Dr. Nogo's insanity becomes too much for her.
  • It's All My Fault: When Agent 02's attempt to one-up Hugo during the final mission leads to them being trapped by Dr. Nogo, he immediately regrets it and apologizes for all his jealousy and jerkiness towards Hugo.
  • Level-Map Display: The GPS showing the area with small icons is displayed in the bottom-right corner.
  • Mad Bomber: Max Schmertz is obsessed with solving Dr. Nogo's problems with his bombs.
  • Mobile Shrubbery: Hugo can wear a plant or a hydrant as disguise.
  • The Mole: One of the R.I.S.K. agents actually works for SUSPECTRA. It's Honeybunny.
  • Morally Ambiguous Doctorate: Dr. Nogo, the villain of the first game and a clear parody of Dr. No.
  • One-Letter Name: W, the professor at R.I.S.K.
  • Orcus on His Throne: Dr. Nogo spends the game on his crown-shaped throne and is seen giving orders to his agents during cutscenes.
  • Save Point: You have to save at a gas station.
  • The Name Is Bond, James Bond: Hugo introduces himself this way when he is welcomed into R.I.S.K.
    "The name's Hugo. Agent Hugo."
  • Springs, Springs Everywhere: Springboards are common in this series through they have small delay before launching Hugo.
  • Timed Mission: There are several missions you have to beat within a couple of minutes, starting with Hugo having to bring back Agent 01 (as Alltoobright states, every second counts).
  • Trick Bomb: The Boomball rolls around and releases paralysing gas upon explosion.
  • Victory Sex: Heavily implied; the last scene of the main game has Miss Alltoobright asking where Hugo and Honeybunny went.
  • Visibility Meter: In the on-foot sections, a meter in the bottom-left corner fills up when Hugo is noticed. The mission's a failure once it's full.
  • We Will Meet Again: Dr. Nogo is last seen making his escape in a submarine and vowing to return with a more evil plan.
  • Yellow Peril: Kizzi Mi is one of the Suspectra Agents. She always speaks with a Japanese accent (occasionally sprinkling some Gratuitous Japanese like "Hai").
  • You Have Failed Me: Dr. Nogo electrocutes his Co-Dragons one by one when they're unable to foil Hugo.
  • You're Insane!: Dr. Nogo is on the receiving end of this several times.
    Agent Hugo: You're freakin' crazy!
Dr. Nogo: Mad? Normal? Genius? Call me what you will.
