Trivia / Wolf's Rain

• Anime First: An original anime, with a manga adaptation that began shortly before the anime finished airing.
• Keep Circulating the Tapes: An interesting soundtrack example, with a certain version of "Shiro, Long Tails" that plays during the OVA episodes. So far, it's not on Volume 1 and Vol 2 of the soundtrack and seems to be available mostly on YouTube with people circulating the Kiba vs Darcia fight scene where it's really prominent. It's not known why it wasn't included on either soundtrack CD.
• No Export for You: Volume 2 of the soundtrack by Yoko Kanno is not available to buy outside Japan.
• Production Posse: The anime was the brainchild of Keiko Nobumoto, who was previously the screenwriter for Cowboy Bebop, and she also wrote the script for this series. Several other people who worked on Bebop also contributed to Wolf's Rain, including director Tensei Okamura (who was a storyboarder for Bebop), character designer Toshihiro Kawamoto, and (of course) composer Yoko Kanno.
• Reality Subtext: In Real Life, Japanese wolves were rendered extinct. These ones fare no better.
