• The Other Darrin: Peter Parker is voiced by Hudson Thames instead of Tom Holland, who was ineligible to reprise his role for the series due to his contract with Sony Pictures.
• Poorly Disguised Pilot: This episode ended up receiving an R-rated spinoff series that focuses more on a different group of surviving heroes as they try to survive the apocalypse.
• Reality Subtext: Hearing Chadwick Boseman as T'Challa say that Wakandans don't consider death the end of existence gains a ton of extra poignancy coming a year after his death.
• Screwed by the Lawyers: The deal with Sony Pictures placed several limitations on this episode's use of Spider-Man. As mentioned above, Tom Holland was not allowed to voice the character leading to Hudson Thames being cast instead. Additionally, none of the supersuits designed for his live-action film appearances could be used which is why the crew used the design similar to the one at Avengers C.A.M.P.U.S..
• What Could Have Been: The episode originally had a more gruesome death for Sharon, with Cap biting her lips off and spitting them out.
