• Fake American: With the main exceptions of Brenda Song, Ellen Woglom, Justin Chon and James Gaylyn, most actors are either Australian or New Zealander.
• Fake Nationality:
  • Japanese born American Shin Koyamada as Chinese monk Shen.
  • Korean American Justin Chon as Chinese American Peter Wu.
  • Brenda Song plays Chinese Wendy Wu but she is of Thai and Hmong descent.
• Multiple Languages, Same Voice Actor: Shin Koyamada (Shen) performed his on-camera lines in English and would later re-dub them for the Japanese release.
• Playing Against Type: Brenda's character is more down-to-earth and mature compared to her character from The Suite Life series.
• Production Posse: Action choreographer Koichi Sakamoto was heavily involved in Power Rangers for many years, which starred Sally Martin (Tori) and Anna Hutchison (Lily) as rangers in Ninja Storm and Jungle Fury, respectively. James Gaylyn (Mr. Medina) also appeared in some seasons that Sakamoto was involved in, while Shin Koyamada (Shen) guest starred in an episode of Wild Force.
• What Could Have Been: A sequel was planned for a 2009 airing, but it was canceled.
