• Dawson Casting: Bee's cult is supposed to be drawn from the local high school. The actors who play John, Max and Sonya were all 28 during filming. Only Bella Thorne was close to high school age at 19.
• What Could Have Been: The script by Brian Duffield includes a pitch for the opening scene of a potential sequel, which seemingly just retains Bee among a new cast of characters. However, the sequel that ended up happening was not written by Duffield, and it brought the entire cast of the original back.
