Fridge / The Babysitter (2017)

Fridge Brilliance

  • Jeremy's the kid who's been bullying Cole at school, but inadvertently ends up being a hero by egging him. The same egg that Max wipes from Cole's face is what saves Cole's life mere seconds later. How's that for Dramatic Irony?
  • In this film, it appears that a bulk of cultists were an example of Dawson Casting. However, through showing some backstory in the second film, it turns out that the characters called out as Dawson Casting were, in fact, not teenagers.

Fridge Horror

  • In the end, when Cole asks Bee if there were any kids before him, Bee hesitates before answering "Yes." Okay, how many kids were found dead, left mentally scarred or gotten killed and never found?
    • Bee could have been talking about Phoebe, her other kid.
  • It's shown after the credits that the car crash didn't kill Bee. What happens after that?
    • As the sequel shows, it's probably for the best.

Fridge Logic

  • Even if Bee kills him before he can make a sound, the firefighter might be wearing a PASSnote , which will start going off after 30 seconds of immobility.
    • Assuming she doesn't pull it off of him and moves with it.
      • Also assuming she knows what the hell a PASS is and where it's located.
  • What happens if Mr. Mid-life Crisis decides to sue Cole's parents over the car?
    • Presumably the six corpses in and around the house would be a bigger problem, and while he could sue, it's not a super great look to sue a kid for using your car to defend himself from cultists.
      • Sequel seems to show that the corpses had disappeared.
    • To be fair, Mr. Mid-life Crisis was dumb enough to leave the keys to his car in the ignition and left his daughter, alone at home. If anything, he could be brought up on child endangerment charges if the family wanted him to leave them alone.
