- Approval of God: Author Bokuto Uno is apparently a fan of Future Diary and was very pleased when Sakae Esuno was tapped to draw the manga adaptation.
- Bonus Material:
- J.C. Staff created a series of omake shorts depicting chibi versions of the Sword Roses getting up to mischief or discussing events of the preceding episode, such as Katie walking in on Oliver and Chela sounding like they've resumed their argument from episode 8 over which sword style is the best, only to be corrected that they're actually talking about breakfast breads this time.
- The Blu-ray box set includes a bonus Short Story from Bokuto Uno describing some of the events after the rescue parties returned to the surface in volume 3/episode 15.
- Cowboy BeBop at His Computer: This hilariously inaccurate clickbait article claims that season 2 of the anime would involve Oliver winning the "Sword Festival" and turning out to be the childhood friend of King Arthur, who apparently wields the Seventh Spellblade instead of Nanao. Needless to say, none of this bears any resemblance to the volumes that a season 2 would likely adapt.
- Cross-Dressing Voices:
- Pete Reston, a Sex Shifter who was assigned male at birth, is voiced by female Riho Sugiyama in Japanese.
- Camp Gay Tim Linton is voiced by female Nina Tamaki in Japanese.
- Mariko Higashiuchi plays the young Joseph Albright in his Troubled Backstory Flashback in "Duty".
- Dueling Shows: The anime debuted five days after the first season finale of Mashle: Magic and Muscles, which similarly has a Wizarding School setting that drew a lot of Harry Potter comparisons, though it's much more of an action-comedy than this series.
- Non-Singing Voice: Carlos Whitrow's singing performances in the anime are done by Mion Yano in "Reversi" and Shachi Tsumugi (who also performs the ending theme) in "Last Song", rather than either of their voice actors.
- Official Fan-Submitted Content: The characters Jasmine Ames and Rosé Mistral were the winners of a reader contest to create an original Kimberly Magic Academy student, held to celebrate the series getting the top rank for bunkobon in 2020's Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi!.
- The Other Darrin:
- Kiba Walker stood in for Dallas Reid as Carlos Whitrow in the English dub of "Reversi".
- Mariko Higashuichi (Japanese) and Tristan Bonner (English) voice the younger Joseph Albright in his Troubled Backstory Flashback in "Duty".
- Portmanteau Series Nickname: "Nanatsuma", a contraction of its Japanese title (Nanatsu no Maken ga Shihai Suru), has entered the lexicon for the series as a whole.
- Queer Character, Queer Actor:
- Carlos Whitrow, who is AMAB non-binary, is normally voiced in the English dub by Dallas Reid, also AMAB non-binary.
- Lexi Nieto, who is non-binary (using both gender neutral and female pronouns), voices Pete Reston, a Sex Shifter who was originally assigned male at birth, in the English dub.
- Kiba Walker is gay, and a drag performer in addition to his voice-acting career. He first appears as a stand-in for Dallas Reid as Carlos in "Reversi" before getting a regular role beginning with "Possibility" as Tim Linton, who is also gay and likes to crossdress.
- Real-Life Relative: Katie's English voice actress Jill Harris is married to Carlos Whitrow's actor Dallas Reid.
- Staff-Created Fan Work: Novel illustrator Miyuki Ruria drew Nijisanji member Takamiya Rion in a Kimberly student uniform, since she's a big Nanatsuma fan.
- Unspecified Role Credit: The English dub gives the voice actors for minor characters in a block of "Additional Voices", whereas the Japanese dub named their roles individually. We do know that Conner Allison voices Marco the troll, because he identified the role in a tweet.
- Word of God: Bokuto Uno is fairly active on Twitter and often posts trivia and commentary about the series' characters, including a list of characters' birthdays.
- You Sound Familiar:
- A number of the voice actors for minor characters double up. Some even get a named character or two: Katsunori Okai voices both Souma Yasutsuna in "Soldier" and an extra in "Colosseum", and Nao Ojika voices an extra in "Ceremony" and Joseph Albright's servant in "Duty".
- Kiba Walker filled in for Dallas Reid in "Reversi" before showing up in a regular role as Tim Linton in "Possibility".
