• Completely Different Title:
  • The English title is nothing like either of the Chinese ones. Partly justified because the first Chinese title is very long, but you'd think someone would have thought to use a direct translation of the second one: The Legend of Chu Qiao.
  • In Thai it's ฉู่เฉียว จอมใจจารชน (Chu-chieow Jomjai-jaarachan), meaning something like "Chu Qiao, Darling Spy").
• Creator Backlash: Zhao Li Ying was reportedly unhappy with the drama's cliff-hanger ending and disappointed it only adapted part of the novel.
• "Do It Yourself" Theme Tune: Zhao Li Ying (Chu Qiao) sang part of "望/Wàng/Gaze".
• Dyeing for Your Art: Zhao Li Ying lost eight pounds for her role.
