- The first episode starts with Chu Qiao waking up in a wagon with no memory of who she is, being taken somewhere with a lot of other girls, and hearing Curly call her "sister". Even though she's lost, confused, and doesn't even recognise Curly, Chu Qiao still reassures her and tells her not to be afraid.
- After the hunt Lin Xi brings Chu Qiao food and medicine, and tells her he'll find a way to make sure no one can hurt them again. Chu Qiao, who's just been through hell and doesn't even remember Lin Xi yet, smiles and says she trusts him.
- When they're thrown in prison Yan Xun and Chu Qiao can only talk to each other through a hole in the wall. Yan Xun is badly injured and in pain, but he's still more concerned about Chu Qiao than himself. When he hears her hands are cold he asks her to reach through the hole so he can warm them for her.
- Yuan Chun's half-brother Yuan Yang loses his mother, so Yuan Chun befriends him and plays with him. Sadly it becomes less heart-warming later when she uses Yuan Yang as a pawn.
