- Follow the Leader: The anime was made after seeing how successful Raiders of the Lost Ark was.
- It's also possible that the French popularity of The Mysterious Cities of Gold was a factor in bringing the show to the French market. Interestingly the two shows aired contemporaneously in Japan.
- Keep Circulating the Tapes: As of July 21, 2022, Discotek Media will be discontinuing this show.
- Late Export for You: It took nearly 40 years for the show to finally get released in the United States. As noted above, though, the U.S. release is now out of print.
- No Dub for You: In America. As with most Discotek Media properties, the U.S. BluRay release is subbed only.
- The Other Darrin: Ryo was voiced by Hideyuki Tanaka in episodes 11, 12, 14 and 15, substituting for Akio Nojima.
