  • Creator Backlash: Episode 8, which was so bad, the creators apologized for it.
  • Follow the Leader:
  • No Export for You: Despite having a story and conflict that can be enjoyable to anime fans and despite it being released in most of Europe (except Poland) and in all English-speaking territories (thanks to Netflix), the series was never released in all the Spanish-speaking countries of Latin America. The only way to watch this is to rely on the European Spanish dubbed version of the series. The only country in Latin America who is currently broadcasting the series is Brazil.
  • Series Hiatus: The show went on hiatus in 2017 after the Season 2 finale ended with a Sequel Hook, with no news or announcements from Word of God since then. Some fans have assumed that the show was Quietly Cancelled, but this Tumblr post from the production team clarified that while the show wasn't exactly canceled, there were also no plans for a third season at the time due to high production costs. Not helping matters is Marathon Media, the studio behind it, got folded into Zodiak Kids and the production team soon disbanded to work on other projects, leaving the show's future in limbo. Then in March 2023, over six years after the end of Season 2, creator Jean-Louis Vandestoc announced via an Instagram post that a third season is in the works. Only time will tell if the show will finally be able to make a return.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • Iris was originally going to have dark hair that would change to blonde when she transformed.
    • Auriana's original name was Aurora and she was a black girl with a huge volume of hair.
    • Talia was going to be Asian with long straight hair.
    • In early promotions for the series, Gramorr was named Gromar and he was Iris's evil uncle who had imprisoned the king and queen and sent his two evil twin nephews to Earth to thwart Lolirock and take the gems. When that idea was scrapped, the nephews became Praxina and Mephisto.
    • Praxina and Mephisto were originally going to have a black-and-white night butterfly/moth motif. Praxina's eyes would have had x or butterfly symbols, and her hair would have been a bun hairstyle that extended to long Twin Tails, while Mephisto would have had + or snake symbols and a half-hidden face.
    • In early promotions Nathaniel was Iris's boyfriend and the band's Secret-Keeper. In the final product, he just has a mutual crush on Iris, and doesn't know that the girls have secret identities.
    • According to Word of God, higher ups wanted to add Carissa and Lyna to the show as main characters to turn the Power Trio to a Five-Man Band. Everyone on the team already liked the dynamic between Iris, Talia, and Auriana, so for a compromise, they decided to include Carissa and Lyna, but only as supporting characters.
