It's not always sunshine and rainbows in LoliRock Land. Sometimes, this world has a little rain to it.
Season One
- "Xeris"- Talia's backstory, where we see Xeris get wrecked. And the only reason why Talia survives is because she was permitted to go the festival which her sister nearly prohibited her from going to. This act ultimately saved her life and the medallion of Xeris. The sight of a young Talia shivering and crying in what was once her castle, knowing she's the only person left of the family and perhaps blaming herself for being selfish, is just heartbreaking.
Season Two
- "Princess Brenda Part I"- The titular Brenda is introduced sitting alone at a bus stop in the rain, in a town she's completely unfamiliar with, having had all her possessions stolen when she fell asleep on the bus. Then the poor dear gets kidnapped by Praxina and Mephisto. Then the twins complete Izira's Medallion, granting them absolute power.
- "Princess Brenda Part II"- Praxina and Mephisto are at their most powerful, and use that power to permanently encase everyone Iris cares about in black crystal.
- "Desert Heat"- This time, we get Auriana's backstory, and see part of the fall of Volta. Unlike with Talia, we also see more members Auriana's family be imprisoned.
- Consider the story from Jodan's point of view. He has to go Earth to help the bad guys capture the Princess of Ephedia, the rightful ruler of his world, and his little sister that he probably has not seen in years. Plus, he is helping Gramorr and the twins so that he can free his remaining family on Ephedia.
- In "Ruby of the Orient", the Victim of the Week, Debra and her Father, reveal that their family has a scarred history of being accused of being thieves. Because no one believes that their ancestor didn't steal a priceless ruby, they are almost forced to sell the house they have lived in for a long time.
- In "Stop in the Name of Lev Part 2", we learn that Lev betrayed Iris again and handed her to Gramorr so that he can earn his freedom. Gramorr, being the typical villain, says that Lev's freedom is through a portal to Earth, presumably where he would be stuck forever. Granted, Earth is not that bad, but it's not Lev's home. It's a hard pill to swallow that your only way out from a bad situation is to go to a planet that you know absolutely nothing about and have to somehow start a new life from zero.
- "Forget You!"- Mephisto's distraught reaction to Praxina's new Good Feels Good persona and his desperate attempts to get his sister back are heartbreaking to watch.
- Note how he looks after failing to get Praxina back. He goes into Berserk Mode, only to get shot down by Talia. When he gets back up, he can't fight. Without his sister, he's just… broken.
- Iris, Talia and Auriana give one last concert to Sunny Bay. They close it with the most heart-breaking song, "Good-Bye". Most viewers cried at this, including this one.
- Everything about Mephisto's death in "Crowning Glory Part II". But long story short, Praxina does NOT take it lightly.
