  • Acting for Two: In the UK dub, Harry and his mother are voiced by Emma Tate, Pterence and Sid are voiced by Ben Small, and Lynn Cleckner voices Patsy and Harry's sister Sam.
  • Channel Hop: In the US, the show went from Cartoon Network to Qubo.
  • Children Voicing Children: Harry—in the Canadian dub—is voiced by 12-going-on-13 year old Andrew Chalmers. Also, Charley is voiced by Amanda Soha who was also a child at the time of voicing her.
  • Crossdressing Voices: In the UK and Australia version, Harry is voiced by Emma Tate.
  • Dawson Casting: Harry's Canadian voice actor, Andrew Chalmers, was turning 15/16 by the time the series ended.
    • Emma Tate, Harry's UK actress, was in her 30s when she was voicing the character.
  • Dueling Dubs: There are two English dubs. One made in Canada and another made in the UK.
  • One-Book Author: This is the only cartoon Andrew Chalmers did any acting work on, with his other credits being live action works.
  • Screwed by the Network: Would you believe that Playhouse Disney Asia (who had the rights to the series in Asia and is now known as Disney Junior Asia) did not air Season 2 onwards of the show?
    • Cartoon Network didn't air Season 2 either when the show was on "Tickle U," but then again, that predictably only lasted a few months before getting the firework. The series later moved to Qubo in the U.S., which actually only aired the second season for a while.
      • The show is also carried by some online providers like Netflix, but these also don't have the second season, at least not in the United States. However, as of 2022, the show is now on Peacock, which carries the second season.
  • What Could Have Been: As shown by this article, there were different plans for the show.
    • The show was going to have a mix of 2D and CGI animation. How this was going to be incorporated is unknown.
    • It was also going to be called by it's US book name, Sammy and the Dinosaurs.
    • Catalyst Entertainment (which later became CCI Entertainment) and Gullane Entertainment were going to be producers of the show. However, the Hit Entertainment purchase of Gullane in 2002 prevented that when CCI re-purchased its library from HIT and the stake that the company inherited from Gullane in 2003.
