- Franchise Killer: The sequel. Seriously, the humor is dumbed down to fairytale jokes, the CGI is worse, the characters are far more bland and the plot is extremely forced and childish compared to the original. And it doesn't help that the original film didn't do very well to begin with.
- Kids' Meal Toy: It got Burger King toys in Europe.
- No Budget: The second film.
- No Export for You: The film was never released in Japan, despite the hair setups being done by a Japanese studio.

- The Other Darrin: None of the voice actors returned for the sequel. Kirk Thornton replaced Wallace Shawn.
- What Could Have Been: This feature was originally conceived as a feature adaptation of Simsala Grimm.
