  • Actor-Shared Background:
    • Ricardo Hurtado is Latino, like his character Five.
    • Monica Ray has Asian ancestry like her character Miko.note
    • Sandeep Parikh was born to Indian immigrant parents. His character, Haneesh, is also Indian.
    • Zahra has been confirmed to be Muslim, her voice actor Zehra Fazal is also Muslim-American.
    • Mitch is Afro-English, just like his voice actor Luke Youngblood.
  • Author's Saving Throw: For awhile, the action scenes were weighed down as they were inexplicably dimmer and had a lower frame count than the rest of the episode. It turns out this was, ironically enough, caused by a glitch that would be fixed a few months later, thus allowing those scenes to play out with the vibrant and smooth animation that was intended.
  • Channel Hop: The show was originally planned to air on Nickelodeon, before the channel decided to release it through Netflix as part of several programming deals made with the streaming company.
  • Creator's Favorite Episode: Many of the cast and crew's favorite episodes are revealed here:
    • For the two leads, Ricardo Hurtado (Five) likes "Adventures In Pet Training" while Monica Ray (Miko) likes "Castle Crawl".
    • Series co-creator Eric Robles also likes "Castle Crawl".
    • Ian Graham (producer/director) likes "Going Going Gauntlet".
    • Scott Kikuta (lead designer) likes "Tutorial Mode".
    • Josh Sussman (Bergy) likes "Collection Quest".
    • Greg Nix (script coordinator and voice of Nix) is very fond of the pilot "Age Of Hinobi".
    • Rachel Russakoff (animatic editor, the voice of Nica and the gauntlet) likes "Age Of Hinobi" and "Collection Quest" for their story and "Castle Crawl" for how fun it is.
    • Mike Mika (one of the consultants) and JJ Conway (one of the storyboard artists) both like "Castle Crawl".
    • Phil Allora (director) likes "Castle Crawl" and "Going Going Gauntlet".
    • Series co-creator Dan Milano likes "Adventures In Pet Training".
    • Phil Jacobson (storyboard artist) likes "Castle Crawl" and "Collection Quest".
  • The Danza:
    • Not completely so, but Zahra has an almost identical name to her voice actress Zehra Fazal.
    • Nix is voiced by Greg Nix.
    • The Karate Master in episode 9 is played by Tak Kubota, this same episode would reveal Miko’s family name is also Kubota.
  • Descended Creator:
    • BITT and Ally are voiced by series co-creator Dan Milano.
    • Phil is voiced by one of the writers, Scott Kreamer.
  • Diagnosis of God: Miko has ADHD, and it is shown through her mannerisms and how she was held back a year in junior high due to resulting learning difficulties. However, no one outright says that she has ADHD, and it is only confirmed by the creators.
  • Fake Brit: Felicia Day, who's an American, uses an English accent for her character, Emma.
  • Line to God: The official staff for Glitch Techs are on the fan-made Discord server, called the Hinobicord. The staff members interact with the fans every once in a while, and there is a channel dedicated to your questions for said staff members.
  • Out of Order:
    • While care was made to make sure things still make sense chronologically, the Netflix order of episodes doesn't match the production order, leading to characters appearing before they are formally introduced (most notably Zahra, Haneesh and Bergy). In particular, "Adventures In Pet Training" was actually the sixteenth episode produced.
    • Another notable instance is "Settling The Score", which was actually part of the real season 2 despite coming out during the second half of season 1.
  • Rule 34 – Creator Reactions: Co-creator Dan Milano tweeted that people could draw whatever they wanted, but often reminds them that Miko, Zahra, and Five are below 18 years old. In any case, he also asked people to keep NSFW content of the show out of his sight.note
  • Screwed by the Network:
    • After finishing production on the first season in January 2019, almost everybody working on the series was fired and the production of a second season was halted with the series never even premiering on Nickelodeon. Instead, the completed episodes of the series were given to Netflix, as part of a late 2019 agreement made to produce original content for the streaming service, with the nineteen episodes produced being split into two seasons when the show released the following year.
    • The "second" season dropped on August 17th, 2020 with little to no fanfare from Nickelodeon or Netflix.
  • Same Content, Different Rating: The show was originally rated TV-Y7-FV when it debuted in 2020, but later the same year, it was given the new rating of TV-G, before reverting back.
  • Troubled Production: On January 9, 2019, the crew for the show walked into work only to discover that production had been "frozen" on the series in the middle of producing a ten-episode second season, and that anyone not required for post-production on the original 20-episode season one order was being immediately laid off. The reasons apparently being Nickelodeon's execs losing faith in the production due to its high costs, and also due to the company undergoing restructuring and cutting as many in-development projects and failing shows as possible.
  • Voiced Differently in the Dub: In the LatAm dub Fives is voiced by Carlos Siller (Mikey's voice actor in Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) who has a much younger sounding-tenor voice in comparison to Ricardo Hurtado's young-adult voice in the original English language. The same can also be noted with Mitch Williams who is voiced by Geraldo Mendoza (better known for voicing Darwin in The Amazing World of Gumball) who has much younger sounding voice than Luke Youngblood.
  • Word of Gay: The makers of the show said that Mitch was "not straight". It helps that he has an openly gay actor, Luke Youngblood.
  • Write What You Know: Both Eric Robles and Dan Milano are avid gamers, with Robles having spent much of his childhood in local arcades (which also served as the inspiration for his previous series).
  • Written by Cast Member: A few episodes were written by Ashly Burch, who voices K. Moon and Ridley.
