• Keep Circulating the Tapes: Not only is Fight League a Defunct Online Video Game, XFLAG took down the game's website (and with it, all of the high-res character art), removed the navigation bar for the anime's website, and hid all of their YouTube videos related to the game. This means that coverage from third parties is the only way to learn about the original game.
• No Export for You: The game never expanded beyond its original "soft-launch" countries, leaving Canada as the only country outside of Asia where it released normally.
• The Other Darrin: Characters that were already in the game were recast for Gear Gadget Generators. For example, G-Wrench went from Yumika Yano to Megumi Han.
• What Could Have Been: The Athlete Creatures were originally designed to be a Little Bit Beastly, but were slid further down the Sliding Scale of Anthropomorphism to make them more distinct. One example given by the art director is that one fighter was originally designed as a girl with panda ears, but was changed to be a Funny Animal-styled panda in the final game.
