  • Acting in the Dark: During an on-set interview for Fast & Furious 6, Michelle Rodriguez revealed that she didn't know about the "twist ending" (Letty's "security cam" photo landing on Hobbs' desk) until she actually saw it herself in theaters.
  • Actor-Shared Background: Giselle is revealed to be former Mossad. Gal Gadot is a former member of the Israeli Defense Force and part of why she was cast in the role in the previous film.
  • California Doubling: The shooting took place in Puerto Rico. It's pretty easy to notice if you live in Puerto Rico too. Some scenes were also shot in Atlanta.

  • Fake Nationality: Joaquim De Almeida (Portuguese), Elsa Pataky (Spanish), and Michael Irby (Mexican-American) plays Brazilians.
  • Hostility on the Set: The infamous feud between Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson started all the way back on the latter's first film, with Diesel claiming in 2021 that he was administering "tough love" to get Johnson's performance where he wanted it to be. Johnson asserted he "laughed and laughed hard" upon learning of Diesel's claim.
  • Meaningful Release Date: The film was released on the tenth anniversary of the first film.
  • Missing Trailer Scene: More like missing lines: "If you're gonna survive, stop thinking like a cop. You're in my world now," and "Chances are sooner or later, we are gonna end up behind bars or buried in a ditch somewhere. But not today." Both are spoken by Dom, but do not appear in the film, even out of the context presented in the trailer.
  • No Stunt Double: As with the previous film, Gal Gadot was allowed to do some of her own stuntwork.
  • The Other Darrin: The Latin Spanish dub saw the actors of Roman Pearce (Salvador Delgado), Tej Parker (Juan Alfonso Carralero), Vince (Israel Magaña) and Monica Fuentes (Mónica Manjarrez) replaced by Sergio Gutiérrez Coto, Raúl Anaya, Octavio Rojas and Verónica López Treviño respectively.
  • Real-Life Relative: The kid watching Dom and Brian while they pulled the safe is Justin Lin's son.
  • Refitted for Sequel: An idea involving heisting a large safe had been conceived during the production of Fast & Furious, but that film's premise did not work with how it was envisioned.
  • Star-Making Role: While Dwayne Johnson had already appeared prominently in a handful of movies, it wasn't until he did this movie that his career as an actor took off.
  • What Could Have Been: The role of Hobbs was originally envisioned for Tommy Lee Jones.
