Trivia / Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels

• Cowboy BeBop at His Computer: It is often Teen Angel Dee Dee's last name that is incorrectly spelled "Sykes", when according to the model sheets and an episode featuring her Uncle, it is actually "Skyes". SCOOB! finally had her say it was Skyes and it even prompted the other wiki to finally change that, which we and the HB fandom had only wanted to see corrected for years.
• Dawson Casting: Brenda's voice actress was born in 1945, Taffy's in 1950 and Dee Dee's in 1954.
• Development Hell: A live-action film adaptation has been pitched around since the late 1990s.
• Dub Name Change: In the Brazilian dub, the names of the Teen Angels were changed to emphasize the show's reference to Charlie's Angels: Dee Dee's renamed Sabina (after Sabrina), Brenda's renamed Nelly (after Kelly) and Taffy's renamed Gilda (after Jill). The trio as a whole (also in the show's title) is called Panterinhas (literally "Little Panthers"), because the dub name of Charlie's Angels, both for the series title and how the team is called in-story, is As Panteras ("The Panthers"), because, in Brazil, "pantera" is (or was, when both shows were originally aired; nowadays, not so much) a slang for a beautiful woman.
• Follow the Leader:
  • This show follows the "Scooby-Doo" Hoax formula to the solid point where it's only really an exception when the "monster" is just someone obscured. There is also a habit of showing the evidence at the summation.
  • In terms of the gang: Dee Dee plays both The Leader and The Smart Guy, but Taffy is the one who comes up with the plans. Brenda is the Lovable Coward and often the Damsel in Distress. Cavey is the brave hero who charges into battle against the enemies.
  • Captain Caveman's design is seemingly an evolution (no pun intended) on the caveman design of the Slag Brothers from Wacky Races.
