- Late Export for You: Originally, only the first two albums were released in the US (the first even had an introduction by Stan Lee!), but album three didn't make it. Later, Dark Horse Comics published a collected version of the three albums, and the fourth album was eventually translated to finish in 2010. The fifth album, by contrast, was published in English less than a year after its initial French release.
- The Other Darrin: None of the French voice actors from Under the Skin reprised their role for the audio book adaptation of the main series that was released a few years later. Jérémie Covillaut was replaced by Éric Herson-Macarel as Blacksad, Philippe Dumont by Bernard Gabay as Smirnov, and Martial Le Minoux by Jean-Philippe Puymartin as Weekly.
- Sequel Gap: The sixth album They All Fall Down : Part One came out in 2021, eight years after Amarillo.
