• Outdated by Canon: The fanfic practically locks down casts based on current rosters in existing games, meaning future content added to those games or new games entirely can't be added later. Naturally, over a week later after Battle of the Luminaries 3 debuted, Shredder was revealed to be added to Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl. Thus, while Shredder is in story, he won't be participating in the arena matches.
• What Could Have Been: In an old journal entry, Tinyhammer revealed some scrapped ideas if Battle of the Luminaries 2 continued and some ideas for what would be the eventual Battle of the Luminaries 3, since at the time he wasn't in the mood for a third one.
  • The remaining mystery fighters for Battle of the Luminaries 2 would have been Fiona, Jago, Wolfrun, Wade Hixton and Yan. Eventually, in the third tournament, the former two got their own nodes, the other two stay as mystery fighters, and the last one, along with his node, are the main antagonists in the second half of the tournament.
  • While the security team was almost the same for the third tournament, they originally included Gau and Chunky Kong rather than Horkeu Kamui and Pepper.
  • The new nodes for the third tournament were going to be Pokkén Tournament, Teen Titans, Fire Emblem: Awakening, Skullgirls, and PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. Although all of them didn't make the final roster, one of them, Skullgirls, would become a node in Tournament of Kikai.
  • The original subplot for the security team was going to involve the villains manipulating Spike (from Ape Escape) into thinking Chunky was evil and he would try to go after him to distract the security team.
  • Although Dingodile being framed and defended by Athena Cykes and Wave the Swallow acting as a prosecutor remained in the third tournament, it originally included Kratos Aurion acting as a judge and Tiny Tiger, Coco Bandicoot, and the other security team members would have helped to assist Athena.
