"We'll also go for those macaroons..." And then Batiatus ruins everything to be a dick.

WARNING: Spoilers Off on moment subpages. Read at your own risk.

  • Anytime a sprited character gets an art evolution, as they only do get them in tragic situations, such as:
    • Ib reacting to the death of Garry by Batiatus,
    • Irene watching the aforementioned deaths of Garry and Ib, as revealed by Bleemo,
    • Yomika getting impaled by Frollo's sword before her death,
    • and finally Madotsuki getting finally broken because of Yomika's death caused by Frollo.
  • Hans Frollo's permanent death, which has him break out of his brainwashing... only for Gaston to kill him. In fact, nearly every death in "Frollo Gets Flashed by a Gothic Lolita" becomes pretty tragic save for Hitler, especially to those on Frollo's army... Poor Ib.
  • Madotsuki having a meltdown during her fight with Wilford Brimley, having been witness to some rather brutal deaths. Willy rubs this in by asking where her mother is, triggering flashbacks. After that flashback? She summons a realm for her to kick Brimley's ass in... though it doesn't help that the way she does it looked like she was gonna kill herself. Ouch.
    • Madotsuki in general is one big tear jerker. Along with the events that occurred during Frollo's birthday party above, Wilford, upon ascension to godhood, creates an entire dimension of her nightmares, and the only way to find Wilford in that realm is breaking the poor girl even more.
    • For some extra Fridge Horror: She probably blames herself for Wilford's deification, as he tricked her into sucking him into her nightmare world in the first place.
  • When Panty gets beaten up by Ronald McDonald and Frollo goes on a huge monologue when Ronald suggested that he could have her way with her since she was unconscious.
Frollo: Because I was born...different. Because I didn't fit in society. After all we've been through...she shuns me! Noo...No! I was there! But after tonight...she will be mine! (...) Don't worry, mademoiselle. I'll take good care of you.
  • Even though he was villainous, you have to feel bad for Gwonam when he left Yusuf to commit suicide. Especially since after that, we see his flashback to him having a wife, the Americans attacking, him forging an alliance with Achmed and the others, and then seeing every one of them die.
    Gwonam: Go, with many blessings!
  • During the fight, Panty calls out Stocking for allying with the Demon Sisters and the other villains. When she turns to Wilford as he informs her of Batiatus murdering Ib, you can clearly see the look on her face.
  • Lemongrab's heroic sacrifice.
    • Everyone, friends and enemies alike, abandon Frollo after he performed a mercy kill on Lemongrab, because they finally had enough of his behavior. To bring the point further home, they leave a sign on Lemongrab's grave stating that he was a true hero, unlike Frollo.
      • The Friends Chapter just twists the knife. Turns out Frollo was just so broken at killing Lemongrab that he imagined them ditching him. Seeing the group try to bring Frollo back to his senses is heart rending.
    • "Inevitabilis" playing during that scene also helps.
  • Best Hercules being faced with his ineptitude as a fighter in the PITy story.
  • The death of poor Yomika caused by Super Saiyajin Frollo, making Madotsuki reach her despair event horizon and about to kill Frollo.
    • Frollo's reaction can count as well as he didn't notice he killed Yomika until it was too late and realises that he has been tricked by Ronald to perform the killing blow and making him believe that his friends were in danger when it was just an illusion.
  • The ending. Full stop. Madotsuki successfully kills Frollo and Stocking and the heroes are unable to stop Wilford Blimey from absorbing more of her sorrow. Just to twist the knife further, it all turns out to be part of Ronald McDonald's plan, who promptly absorbs everyone in a cartridge and lets Haruhi destroy the universe. Downer Ending doesn't even begin to describe it.
