- In "Gadget's Replacement", Chief Quimby informs Gadget that the Metro City police force has replaced Gadget with a powerful new crime computer—not knowing that Dr. Claw is sending in his agents to rewire it so it can be used to commit crimes while keeping the police force distracted. In the next scene, Gadget is at home, making a Despair Speech to Penny and Brain.Gadget: My career is over. Now that I can't use my skills to fight crime, my gadgets won't be good for anything!
