Tagline / Ratchet & Clank

The Ratchet & Clank franchise has been ongoing since the first game's release in 2002 and has spawned a vast array of media, so it's only natural the series would have a lot of taglines. However it seems the folks over at PlayStation's marketing department could rarely decide on a singular one to go with (especially early on in the series' life) so we ended up getting a bunch depending on what method of advertising you were looking at.

Recurring taglines

• The commercials for the PS2 entries always ended with a narrator stating something to be "not fit for this world":
  • "[ X ], one of [ # ] weapons and gadgets not fit for this world." (R&C1 and Going Commando)^note 36 for the former, 51 for the latter
  • "Take it online. Weapons and gadgets not fit for this world." (Up Your Arsenal)
    • "[ X ]. Yet another weapon not fit for this world." (Sheepinator and Lava Gun ads)
  • "Command robot friends not fit for this world." (Deadlocked)
• Both halves of the 2016 reimagining would advertise the other half in a lot of their trailers:
  • "Watch the movie! Play the game!" (ads primarily for the movie)
  • "Play the game, watch the movie." (ads primarily for the game)
