- Mr. Puzzles is a mashup of John Kramer and Billy the Puppet (The former for his obsession with puzzles in dangerous situations and the latter for riding a three-wheeled unicycle) with a touch of Leatherface (For incorporating chainsaws).
- Jennifer asks how Mr. Puzzles knows her name to which he nonsensically replies "You have a body. Jennifers always have bodies."
- The antidote for the first puzzles was a ghost and murdered one hundred years ago by a Polter-Geisha.
- When recalling what she did last summer, Jennifer ran over a child made of corn, an afraidy cougar, a man named Jason and a vampire doing an interview in rapid succession.
