A Venerable Line Of Defense, Spacenoid Pride

—The motto of the Home Fleet

The primary fleet of the Space Assault Force, and the only one actually housed in the Pantheon. The best of the best pilots, ascended or no, are hand-picked by the Joint Chiefs to serve here. They usually collaborate (without much choice) with Gihren's Gihren Fleet as this fleet is the one that serves the Grand United Alliance of Evil with all standing orders coming from the Emperor. Grand Admiral Thrawn frequently serves as an intermediary, leading both the general space fleet and the Home Fleet regardless of their infamous Interservice Rivalry. They never confront the GUAG Robot War Division unless directly provoked and their strategy is generally on the defensive side as opposed to Gihren's warmongering offensive tactical methods.

The fleet is led on top by Char Aznable, though due to having to run the entire Cohort and oversee important battles elsewhere, his chiefs of staff, Haman Karn and Vice Admiral Dozle Zabi, normally take charge. The fleet's flagship is the Rewloola, Char's personal flagship, but Haman's ship, the Sadalahn or Dozle's ship, the Midas Valkyrie, usually serve in this role when Char departs to deal with other engagements.

Dozle Zabi

Dozle Zabi, Patron Officer of Decorated Admirals and Chief of Staff of the Home Fleet (Commander of the Zeon Space Attack Force)

• Intermediate Non-Ascendant
• Rank: OF-8 (Vice Admiral)
• Symbol: The Zeon crest
• Alignment: Lawful Evil, erring to Lawful Neutral or Lawful Good with his loved ones
• Reason for Joining: Having made peace in his mind regarding the Earth Federation and the One Year War, his attention now turns to his madman brother Gihren for orchestrating their father's death just so the war would continue. Char approached him personally after 'plucking' him from the afterlife, asking for forgiveness because he needed honest and incorruptible officers like him in the Cohort.
• Loyalty to Char: Quite High. Emphasis on quite. He was right pissed at Char for failing to protect Garma, but he never suspected that Char had actually caused his death. As such, he is prone to arguing with him at times. However, Char's hatred of the Zabis did not extend to his daughter Mineva, who went to become a key player in lobbying for peace between the Federation and Zeon. He has yet to meet her in the Pantheon, since he never lived long enough to know her.
• Threat Level: High. The loyalty he inspires among his troops almost equals that of Rustal Elion. He's a very capable mobile suit pilot in a force made up of enhanced individuals. Not to mention his fierce patriotism for the rights of Spacenoids, though he still isn't comfortable with Char's plan to force humanity's evolution into Newtypes.

• His flagship is the Rewloola-class Midas Valkyrie. He works from his principal base in the UC gateway, a revitalized Solomon Base (now Konpei Island).

Officers and Pilots

Full Frontal

Full Frontal, Leader of the Sleeves Contingent and Patron Officer of Straw Nihilists (The Second Coming of Char, Mullet Char, Fat Frontal)

• Lesser Non-Ascendant
• Rank: OF-7 (Rear Admiral), promoted from OF-5 (Captain)
• Symbol: The Sleeves Emblem embossed on the Sinanju's chest and shield
• Alignment: Lawful Evil/Neutral Evil
• Reason for Joining: As Char's former high priest, Char felt honour-bound to give direction to his spiritual clone and offshoot. While the Perfectio case and an alternate continuity may have caused friction between them, ultimately they're one and the same, save the hair length. Hence, why Full Frontal is here.
• Loyalty to Char: High currently but has the risk of wavering at any time. Full Frontal has always strived to be as he was made to be: the second coming of Char. However, he proves stubborn at carrying out Char's original will rather than adapting to changing circumstances (such as the discovery of the other Gundam universes). However, he's loyal enough for Char to give him command of the Mecha Cohort's premier task force, and he wouldn't have it any other way.
• Threat Level: Very High. He's the second coming of Char, meaning that when he comes into the picture, expect a Curb-Stomp Battle. He's a powerful Cyber-Newtype, brilliant orator and charismatic leader all around, all traits of Char but with a more zealous twang to them. As a brilliant symbol of Char in the Cohort, he proves that point in battle and off the battlefield as a worthy successor to Char (should nothing come up). As a mobile suit pilot, he can handle an entire army of mobile suits alone without breaking a sweat.

Shin Matsunaga

Shin Matsunaga, Patron Officer of Guarding Legendary Figures (The White Wolf, White Wolf of Solomon, Gray Wolf)

• Lesser Non-Ascendant
• Rank: OF-4 (Commander), promoted from OF-2 (Lieutenant)
• Symbol: His suit's white color scheme and personal emblem◊
• Alignment: Lawful Neutral
• Reason for Joining: When Dozle joined the GUAE, Shin Matsunaga came too. He's been a lifelong friend of his and his bodyguard during his frontline inspections. As his brother-in-arms, it was inevitable that he'd join Char's side for Dozle's sake.
• Loyalty to Char: Medium. His true loyalty lies to Dozle and to a certain extent, the Earth Federation. This is because he may have served in the AEUG after being thought missing in action. Despite this, Char and Dozle commended him for his stalwart protection of Spacenoids through his AEUG membership and gave him a double promotion to commander.
• Threat Level: High. Matsunaga is not a Newtype, that is very clear, yet he managed to get 141 MS kills and 6 ship kills in the One Year War. He's a gifted specialist despite being an Oldtype.

Ramba Ral

Ramba Ral, Patron Officer of Cool Facial Hair (Blue Giant, Blue Nova, Mr. Ral?)

• Lesser Non-Ascendant
• Rank: OF-4 (Commander), promoted/re-instated from OF-2 (Lieutenant)
• Symbol: His blue color scheme
• Alignment: Lawful Neutral with Lawful Evil leanings
• Reason for Joining: He swore an oath to protect Casval and Artesia when smuggling them to safety outside of Zeon territory. Even them being grown adults capable of protecting themselves hasn't stopped him from wanting to do so. Also, Char treats him with the respect he deserves.
• Loyalty to Char: High. See above.
• Threat Level: High. Like the White Wolf of Solomon, he is an Ace Pilot and a Cool Old Guy who happens to have a set of deeply ingrained ethics that made him refuse to join Operation British. Add that and A Father to His Men mentality (and the Gouf) and that makes him worthy of his moniker 'the Blue Giant'.

• People can't seem to decide if he's worthy of recognition or not. This is in part due to Continuity Snarl: the anime Ramba Ral was a badass Mook Lieutenant who served with honours at the Battle of Loum while the Origin Ramba Ral was a disgraced former commander demoted to lieutenant in the reserves for insubordination regarding the Colony Drop of Operation British. For his distinguished service and fearless attack on the White Base in the face of M'Quve's pettiness, Char decided to have him promoted (or re-instated, you decide) to the rank of commander.

Nanai Miguel

Nanai Miguel, Herald of Char and Patron Officer of Alluring Secretaries

• Demi Non-Ascendant
• Rank: OF-3 (Lieutenant Commander), promoted from OF-2 (Lieutenant)
• Symbol: The Neo Zeon logo
• Alignment: Lawful Evil
• Reason for Joining: She's always been one of Char's most loyal followers, enough for Char to appoint her as his Number Two and herald in the Pantheon.
• Loyalty to Char: High. Like Haman, Nanai has a crush on Char, but unlike Haman, not enough to render it self-destructive. Too bad Char was using her anyway. Nanai still remains intensely loyal to her supreme commander, even if she has been replaced in the hierarchy by Dozle Zabi.
• Threat Level: Medium. Her Newtype powers may not be on par with Lalah Sun's, but they prove instrumental in swinging the tide of battle as a tactical forecaster and Newtype scientific specialist.
• She serves as the chief operations officer aboard Char's flagship, the Rewloola, as his most trusted subordinate aboard that ship and a strong military officer akin to Emma Sheen. She knows that Char manipulated her when he was alive and even now in the Mecha Cohort, yet she remains faithful to him. She isn't an idiot though and has taken it upon herself to persuade Char to abandon his vendetta against Amuro.
• Was promoted to Lieutenant Commander for her stellar adaptability in the Battle of First Janus, a siege attempt by the Cohort on an import of N-Jammer Cancelers. The collapse of the Janus checkpoint area necessitated several changes in strategy on the fly. Nanai pulled it off to an extent that Grand Admiral Thrawn would be proud.

Cronicle Asher

Cronicle Asher, Leader of the Zanscare Contingent and Patron Officer of Noble Top Enforcers (Chronicle Asher)

• Rank: OF-2 (Lieutenant)
• Symbol: The Zanscare Empire logo
• Alignment: Lawful Neutral with Neutral Evil leanings
• Reason for Joining: As a high-ranking member of one of the last prosperous Spacenoid civilizations in the Universal Century, Char approached him to roll deceased Zanscare forces into the Cohort.
• Loyalty to Char: Low. This is more of a contractual thing because his ultimate loyalty is to his sister Maria and the Zanscare Empire. Anything else is a lower priority to him. Char did champion the rights of Spacenoids in the old days and that Cronicle can respect.
• Threat Level: High. He's a great Ace Pilot and (unintentional) Corrupter. Though everyone brains him for the darkly hilarious way he died.
• Main Unit: ZMT-S34S Rig Contio, ZM-S06S Zoloat, ZMT-S12G Shokew (back-ups)

Quess Paraya

Quess Paraya, Patron Officer of Psycho Supporters

• Intermediate Non-Ascendant
• Rank: OF-1A (Ensign)
• Symbol: The Neo Zeon logo
• Alignment: Chaotic Neutral, turning Chaotic Evil under Char's influence
• Reason for Joining: Char intended her to be a Newtype trump card to manipulate in CCA and it worked. Char intends her to serve the same purpose in the Pantheon, with the (insincere) intention to mould her into a less spoiled and more independent mobile suit pilot.
• Loyalty to Char: Extreme bordering on fanatical. Any loyalty of hers goes to the people who shower her with attention, and Char has provided her plenty^note maybe because he likes young Newtype girls. This could slip at any time for random reasons, so the Cohort is careful not to enrage her.
• Threat Level: Very High. Latent Newtype ability exceeding Char's + Lack of sense + High intelligence with MS technology = Death to all who go against her
