Running Gag / The Kill Count

• TITLE CAAAAARD!
• The A Nightmare on Elm Street videos have James bemoaning the appearance of Super forms of characters with "Super X sucks!" Similarly, he insistently refers to the girls who jump rope and sing Freddy's song as Jump Rope Girls like they were a music group.
• He refers to the titular Leprechaun as "the little shit" or "Leppy boy".
• Whenever a Groin Attack is inflicted on a male character, he says "Right in the nyuts".
• He tends to say "saboteur" in a dramatic fashion whenever someone commits an act of sabotage.
• While covering the Child's Play franchise, he constantly comes up with new variations of "Incantation -iation" every time the Damballa chant is said.
• From Saw III onward, making reference to "slow-ass motherfuckin' Jeff".
• In The Purge: Election Year’s kill count, James very frequently makes it clear throughout the count that he ships Charlie and Leo.
• During the Jaws series: "Does that (Chekhov's Gun) look like an oxygen tank^note referring to said tank from the first movie that plays an integral part to the shark's death to you?"
• During the Final Destination series, whenever there are signs that death is coming for one of the characters, James notes that things are getting "SHPOOKAY!" He also refers to the initial premonitions with both the overall disaster and an alliterative eye synonym since every premonition ends with a zoom-out of an extreme close-up of the protagonist's eye.
• James will always pronounce the word "dinosaur" with an exaggerated Southern accent as "DI-nuh-SAWW", like Mr. DNA.
• Starting with the Home Sweet Home Kill Count, James will don a monocle, cigar and bowler hat when discussing a subject he's not too knowledgeable about: BUSINESS!
• While covering the Carrie franchise, every single version of the original has Tommy Ross's death as the Dull Machete. James even notes that he doesn't want to break tradition when giving it the award while covering the 2013 Remake.
  • Interestingly enough, the death of Leatherface in the first "Social Mediasochist" video, which was a homage to Tommy Ross' death, was ALSO awarded the Dull Machete. The tradition's been going on longer than James likely realized!
• Whenever there's an noticeable 3D effect, like in Saw 3D or The Final Destination, James goes "whoa!" dramatically (and mockingly).
• Whenever there's a heartwarming moment, usually a hug, he'll say "Aw, that's nice!" in the same high-pitched, Southern-ish voice.
• PG: Psycho Goreman has James using a different P-word every time he refers to the Gem of Praxidike.
• Throughout the Friday the 13th kill counts, James keeps referring to the undead child Jason from the first movie's ending as a "swampy boy".
• Whenever someone is seen using drugs or being sedated, James calls it "Some Mhhh, drugs!"
• During the Tremors kill counts, guest host Zoran shouts "Bixby!" every time someone mentions said town in the movies.
  • Each video contains a fake commercial based on something from the movie that Zoran either found funny or wanted to parody. This proved a popular enough gag that continued beyond the Tremors videos.
  • Zoran trying to get away with not wearing any pants.
• Since Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III features Viggo Mortensen in its cast, the Kill Count sees James make references to Mortensen's role in The Lord of the Rings virtually every time his character is onscreen.
• During the American Psycho 2: All American Girl Kill Count, Chelsea plays a clip of William Shatner's character saying "This is unacceptable" whenever something particularly poorly written or acted happens in the movie.
• "This place has EVERYTHING:" (Proceeds to list three of the unusual and/or disturbing features of said place.)
• James giving the Dull Machete award to characters who get unceremoniously shot, "because gun kills are boring."
• Whenever Lawrence Gordon gets mentioned, James ends up reiterating the fact that Lawrence Gordon is a doctor.
• Whenever a big fight scene is about to occur, James calls it an "ALL OUT [context] FIGHT!", with the addition of air horns.
• Zoran constantly trying to get James killed in the numbers transitions.
• After the Dude Bro Party Massacre 3 kill count broke the previous kill record by over 11 times, James very frequently shows his disdain about it in later videos in humorous ways, be it describing the situation as the worst thing that happened to him during the Gremlins kill count or outright killing Zoran over it in the The Black Phone kill count. Zoran himself gets into this, with him bragging about it in the Deep Rising kill count and saying that James does not have to feel sad about Critters Attack! having the most amount of counted non-human deaths in the numbers segment for the latter film. This, much like ThanksKilling 3, becomes Running Gagged when Emesis Blue breaks the record with a record-shattering 800,054 KILLS!!!.
• During the Scream Kill Counts, James will frequently lampshade the franchise's Whodunit nature with a clip of Randy:
  Randy: EVERYBODY'S A SUSPECT!
• If the host mentions a cast or crew member on a film being a graduate of the University of Michigan (like both James and Chelsea), they will instinctively follow it up by shouting "GO BLUE!"
• Referring to skeletons as bastard skellies.
• During his Friday the 13th recounts, whenever the character Paul Holt is mentioned, James will immediately shout his name a second time.
• Zoran constantly mispronouncing the Argonautica's name in the Deep Rising kill count
  • There's also him repeatably stating that Billy's name is Billy... Just Billy.
• Throughout the Kill Counts for the two The Collector movies, Zoran repeatedly expresses frustration at the sheer Fridge Logic of many of the Collector's booby traps.
• As Critters 3 was Leonardo DiCaprio's first movie, Zoran keeps referencing the former's other roles in its kill count.
• In the kill count of Critters 4, Zoran recalls scenes reminiscent of the Alien franchise and is shown stroking a facehugger plushie to lampshade the similarities.
• During various thanksgiving kill count episodes, James repeatably makes it clear how much he hates and refuses to cover Thankskilling 3. After he ended up covering it in 2021 the gag then changes to James' horror at the possibility of a Thankskilling 4.
• During the Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc Kill Count, Chelsea took every opportunity she could to replay a clip of Kyoko's infamous warning about Mukuro Ikusaba, cutting it off sooner each time.
• In the Kill Counts for Happy Death Day and Happy Death Day 2U, James takes advantage of Tree's nickname and saps all the tree puns he can out of it. Lampshaded in the sequel's Kill Count.
  James: How many people will die in the sequel, and how many new tree puns can I come up with while I count them? Let's find out and get to the kills!
