    • One of the Shorties involved The Hillbilly Bears appearing on The Harry Stinger Show.
    • An ad for Cow and Chicken showed the beginning of the theme song ("Mama had a chicken / Mama had a cow...") before cutting to Chicken saying "And, believe it or not, we have not been asked, not even one time, to be on Springer."
    • During the Cartoon Campaign 2000 promotion, an ad attacking Fred Flintstone's "family values" platform said that they're the values of "the family from the last episode of Springer."

  • A Bad Week at the Wizengamot: When Sirius becomes the interim Minister of Magic, his "Truth in Government and Media Initiative" makes it illegal for news media employees to publish slander. The punishment for violating the law a third time involves a 10,000 Galleon fine, six months of imprisonment, and being forced to watch a hundred hours of The Jerry Springer Show.

  • Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me: Dr. Evil and Scott appear on Springer to discuss their relationship problems.
  • Baseketball: While in a bar, the protagonists engage in a drinking game while watching Springer. The game? A shot of tequila every time a fight breaks out. They become very drunk, very quickly.
  • Bride of Chucky: Jade's Uncle Chief Kincaid greatly disapproves of her boyfriend Jesse and at one point yells at her to prevent her from embarrassing him "by winding up on Jerry Springer with some trailer-trash lowlife".

  • The George Lopez Show: In "George to the Third Power", George and Benny mock Ernie's current relationship by chanting "Jer-ry! Jer-ry!".
  • Roseanne: In "What a Day for a Daydream", Roseanne imagines her family appearing on Springer.
  • Law & Order: Criminal Intent: In the "Please Note..."note  episode, a high-mantenance mother-in-law of a suspect dotes on her young grandson, citing that if left to be raised by his mother, he would end up eating potato chips all day while watching Jerry Springer.
  • The X-Files. In "The Post-Modern Prometheus", it's shown that Mulder appeared on the Jerry Springer show, which is what causes a viewer to contact him about that week's case.

  • Animaniacs: In "One Flew Over the Cuckoo Clock", Slappy is driven mad from watching nothing but daytime talk shows, including Springer.
  • Family Guy:
    • In "The King is Dead", Peter tries to include material from Springer in his revised production of The King and I.
      Peter: On Springer yesterday, they had "I Won't Share My Husband", and these two women bitch-slapped each other. The crowd went nuts! Loretta, why don't you try slapping Diane?

    • In "A Ladder to Heaven", the boys try to get Kenny (who had been killed off) out of an urn and are outraged to find "chocolate milk mix" inside, not realizing it's his ashes.
      Kyle: Why would they play such a cruel joke on us?
      Cartman: Because they're poor, Kyle! Poor people don't have anything better to do than piss other people off! Don't you watch Springer?
