References to Brian De Palma's Scarface in various media.

Films — Animated

Films — Live-Action

  • Gomorrah. Big Bad Wannabes Marco and Ciro reenact the final scene of Scarface in the abandoned home of a Camorra boss who built it to resemble Tony Montana's house (and yes, that place actually does exist).
  • Bullet For Hire is a Heroic Bloodshed drama that is pretty much a Whole-Plot Reference to Scarface, down to a rising-to-power montage from the hero and an offscreen execution via chainsaw.
  • The opening scene of Dragons Forever references Tony's meeting scene, with the villain killing all but one member of a rival mob, and then offering the lone survivor a new job. Even the quotes are copied almost in-verbatim.
Soon-to-be-dead Rival Mob Boss: You said you wouldn't kill me!?
Big Bad: I didn't. He did.
[Henchman puts an extra round in the former]
  • In Night at the Museum, Jedediah says "Say hello to your little friend!" as Larry picks the miniature off the night guard's sleeve.
  • Kick-Ass. As he's getting ready to blow up Hit-Girl with a bazooka, the Huge Goon says "I always wanted to say this...Say hello to my little friend!"
  • In Ghostbusters (2016), Erin shouts "Say hello to my little friend!" when firing a proton cannon at ghosts at the climatic battle.
  • In War Dogs, Scarface is a movie beloved by the protagonists, who quote it and own a poster of it. The promotional material of War Dogs also references the iconic poster.
  • In Jack and Jill, the Dunkaccino ad features Al Pacino opening his coat with the line "Say hello to my chocolate blend," a reference to the line "Say hello to my little friend."
  • Jane Austen's Mafia! is a spoof of gangster movies. Anthony "Tony" Cortino is a parody of Tony Montana. In one scene, a hitman says, "Say hello to my little friend," opening his coat to reveal a little man with a gun.
  • New Jack City: Nino is seen watching the movie at one point.
  • In Tropic Thunder, actor and former rapper Alpa Chino alludes to Al Pacino's gangster roles, like Scarface, being referenced in the music industry.
  • In The Other Guys upon seeing Allen's cocaine-covered Prius, Martin jokes "It looks like Scarface sneezed on your car!"
  • The Hong Kong gangster movie A War Named Desire has an assassination scene that is a frame-by-frame remake of Emiliio Rebenga's, with a close-up on the victim being stabbed, a Reaction Shot, followed by the victim staggering through a crowded street while holding his stomach and collapsing after being bumped. The difference though is that the latter took place in a parade instead of a riot.
  • Hunt For The Wilder People: Ricky, who doesn't want to get back to foster care, suggests they shoot it out like in Scarface, though he realizes there's no cocaine.

Live-Action TV

  • Breaking Bad: Walt is shown watching the film with Junior and cheering Tony on in his famous Last Stand as he guns down his enemies. One wonders what his reaction was to Tony's death.
  • Brotherhood: In the season two finale, "Things Have Changed", Nozzoli raves about the 25th anniversary DVD of the movie, while one of his Mooks grouses about Al Pacino not being convincing as a Cuban.
  • Buffy the Vampire Slayer: In the fourth season premiere episode "The Freshman", when Xander is trying to inspire Buffy after she was defeated by Sunday and a crew of vampires, he mangles a number of pop culture quotes, including from Scarface ("'First you get the women, then you get the money, then you...' okay, can we forget that?").
  • The Really Loud House: In "Some Buddy to Love", Lisa exclaims, "Say hello to my little friend!" before demonstrating her plasma accelerator.
  • Veronica Mars: In the third season episode "President Evil", an illegal casino on the campus of Hearst College gets robbed. Veronica goes to the house of the man who planned the crime and gets him to confess, after which she reveals her Hidden Wire and says, "Say hello to my little friend", complete with Tony Montana's accent.

Music

  • In Coolio's "Gangsta's Paradise," "Power and the money, money and the power" references the line "First you get the money, then you get the power, then you get the woman." Amusingly enough, the song's music video features Michelle Pfeiffer (who plays Elvira) as her character from Dangerous Minds, as the song was featured on the film's soundtrack.
  • Scarface by MAD TRIGGER CREW and Jyuto's "say hello to my little friend", which ties in neatly with "Illmatic Jyuto" (Nas has a song called The World is Yours inspired by this movie on an album called Illmatic). Asanuma took this a step further and wore a "The World is Yours" T-shirt during a live performance.
  • In Westside Connection's "Bow Down," "The world is mine" references the Arc Words "The World is Yours."

Video Games

  • In Grand Theft Auto III, Flashback 95.6 plays tracks from the Scarface soundtrack.
  • Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is set in 1980s Miami in everything but name. The Diaz estate that Tommy Vercetti gains after killing the previous owner is really just Tony Montana's mansion in everything but name (bar the pool, which is inside the main hall in the film and on the backdoors to the garden in the game, and the "The World Is Yours" globe), and Vercetti's story mirrors Montana's in many ways, except the protagonist being Italian-American instead of Cuban (and staying alive by the end of the story, the final level of which mirrors Montana's end save for his death) and diversifying his assets (he's into drug trade as well, but not only) while Montana's source of wealth is just drug trade. The chainsaw in Apartment 3c references the chainsaw scene also.

Web Animation

Western Animation

  • In episode 1 of The Boondocks Riley quotes "Say hello to my little friend!" before blasting Ed Wuncler's grandson through a window with a SPAS-12 shotgun to test the efficacy of his bulletproof vest.
  • The Loud House: In "Snow Bored", Lisa exclaims, "Say hello to my not-so-little friend!" before unleashing her snowball gatling gun on Lynn.
  • Mixels: In the last episode, "Nixel, Nixel, Go Away", Booger confronts King Nixel and whips out a cubit saying, "Say hello to my little friend!"
  • In The Simpsons episode "Lisa's Rival," Homer's line “In America, first you get the sugar, then you get the power, then you get the women” is a reference to the line "First you get the money, then you get the power, then you get the woman."
    • One Bart Simpson comic story is titled "Say Hello to My Little Friend...Scarface!"
