  • In Romy and Michele's High School Reunion, Romy and Michele talk about how much they love watching the movie because they never get tired of making fun of it.
Romy: Yeah, like those salesgirls in Beverly Hills aren't bigger whores than she is!
  • In We're the Millers, while trying to convince Rose to be his fake wife, David tells her it would be just like Pretty Woman. Rose reminds him Julia Roberts was a prostitute in that movie, while she’s a stripper.

Live-Action TV

  • In the Angel episode Carpe Noctem:
Cordelia Chase: "If Julia Roberts ever makes a realistic movie about being an escort, it should be called 'Pretty Skanky Woman'."
  • Birds of a Feather:
  • Felicity: In the first season episode "Love and Marriage", Felicity agrees marry Javier so he can stay in the country. In gratitude, Javier buys her jewelry, and they recreate the scene from Pretty Woman where Edward presents Vivian with jewelry and then closed the box on her.
  • It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia has a clearly unscripted scene in which Charlie Day snaps a box of snacks on Danny DeVito's hand similar to Richard Gere's jewellery box trick on Julia Roberts. DeVito's reaction is two-fold; first he gets a fright and laughs at the surprise the same as Roberts, then there's a beat of Charlie Day smirking and nodding at what he'd just done, before quietly name-dropping Pretty Woman, causing Danny to think for a half-second before getting it and cracking up again.
  • The Knuckles episode "The Shabbat Dinner" has Wade's mother Wendy watching this movie in the living room with Knuckles while he eats a slice of key lime pie.
  • The Law & Order: Special Victims Unit episode "Underbelly", with a helping of Do Not Do This Cool Thing. In the episode, Belinda says that she got the idea to go into prostitution from watching the movie over and over.
  • The Office (US): Dwight’s subplot on "Counseling" is a big one to Pretty Woman. He is snubbed at a store and the others, referencing the movie, decide to make him over and get him to go back and tell off the clerk. It turns out the reason he was rejected was that he had beet juice in his hands, which looked like blood.
