Halloween is one of the most iconic slashers of all time. As a result, it, or Michael Myers, or Jamie Lee Curtis, or the Ominous Walk of the serial killer, or the music, gets referenced a lot in all kinds of media.
- Baby Driver: Before a heist, the crooks asks JD to buy them Michael Myers masks to disguise themselves. Unfortunately, JD thought they said Mike Myers, so he got them Austin Powers masks.
- Bride of Chucky: Michael Myers' mask is shown in an evidence locker.
- It Follows is one homage to the movies. The protagonist is called Jay in homage to Jamie Lee Curtis, her sister is called Kelly, like Curtis's own sister, an it's set in Stepford Suburbia where Jay is stalked by an implacable, unstoppable killer, and all Its victims are also sexually active.
- Scream: Randy (played by Jamie Kennedy) watches Halloween (1978) on the TV at Stu's house, shouting "Look behind you, Jamie!" while the killer stands unseen behind him.
- Super 8: A poster of Halloween (1978) is shown in Joe Lamb's room.
- Thanksgiving: The opening of the film is shot via the film's killer P.O.V. outside a house.
- Trick 'r Treat: Sam's many P.O.V. shots, interspersed with the heavy breathing under his mask, is a Shout-Out to Michael. Even later in the film, a character called Laurie is stalked by a man in a mask.
- Prudence Penderhaus: In 17 Marigold Lane, Cassius brings a copy of Halloween to watch at Prudence's house. Jamie Lee Curtis is hiding in the closet with a wire hanger when Mr. Shooster arrives to drag Cassius home.
- Dani in The Final Girl Support Group is a clear Expy for Laurie.
- Cold Case: "Bad Night" had an old case of a mentally disturbed man who after watching Halloween (1978), killed people while dressed like Michael.
- Ghost Whisperer: "Horror Show" had a ghost insert Melinda into several horror movie scenarios, including being attacked by Michael.
- Stranger Things: On Halloween, Max dresses as Michael Myers. It gets a Call-Back in Season 4 when Eddie wears her mask to escape.
- The Undertaker's sit up is inspired by the scene where Michael Myers sits up.
- The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark: Michael (presumably a carnie in costume, but with this series you never know) is seen hanging out with several other slasher movie icons backstage at the carnival's Haunted House.
- The Angry Video Game Nerd has reviewed the Licensed Game based on the film for the Atari 2600 by Wizard Video.
- The Boondocks: In "Smokin' With Cigarettes", the villain, Lamilton Taeshawn, is a stoic, conscienceless boy who is a homicidal maniac. His therapist, Dr. Doomis, endlessly pursues him like Dr. Loomis does to Michael and insists his quarry is pure evil and must die or be locked up forever.
