The West Wing: In the season two finale, "Two Cathedrals", there's a Flashback where a young Jed Bartlet tries to ask his father about the fact the women working on campus aren't paid as much as the men, but his father is more concerned about an article Jed wrote in the school paper, criticizing a professor for censoring books, and in the article, Jed quoted Fahrenheit 451 ("If you hide your ignorance, no one will hit you, and you'll never learn").
