The brothers decide to have a creepy-cool adventure with some creepy creatures. They split up to find the Goliath Birdeater, the largest spider in the world, and the Vampire Bat, a tiny blood-sucking bat. But with their new creature power suits, they must find and stop Zach who has taken the Miniaturizer and teamed up with the villains to capture creepy cool creatures for his Scary Animal Mansion.

- Flight: Chris' Vampire Bat creature power suit gives him the ability to fly.
- The Friend Nobody Likes: None of the other villains seem very thrilled that Zach has called them asking for their help. It’s not until he mentions how he can’t do it without their unique skills (not to mention the money they'll get in the end) that they agree to his plan.
- Halloween Episode: The first part of a two-part episode in which the Kratt brothers spend Halloween having a creepy creature adventure.
- Haunted House: Zach's idea to scam people out of their money on Halloween is to put on a haunted house.
- I Resemble That Remark!: When Zach sees Aviva dressed as him for Halloween, he calls it a ridiculous costume and says he never dresses like that. He then turns around and makes the exact same pose Aviva is making while wearing the exact same outfit.
- Invisibility Cloak: Zach uses his to sneak into the Tortuga to steal the Wild Kratts’ Miniaturizer.
- Malicious Misnaming: Zach calls the Wild Kratts the "Wild Rats", as usual.
- Multi-Armed and Dangerous: Thanks to his tarantula creature power suit, Martin is easily able to take down the Zach Bots using his eight arms.
- Plagiarism in Fiction: Zach uses his spy bots to listen in on the Kratt brothers' conversation about creepy animals and steals their ideas to use in his haunted house.
- Scary Flashlight Face: Martin does this when he’s talking about the Vampire Bat.
- Spike Shooter: Sensing danger, Martin, in his Goliath Tarantula creature power suit, starts shooting urticating hairs. They hit Zach in his invisibility cloak, alerting the team to his presence. He then takes off his cloak and whips the sharp hairs back at them.
- To Be Continued: Being a two-part episode, this first part ends with this phrase, however, since the second part aired on the same day as the first part, it ends up becoming To Be Continued... Right Now.
- Villain Team-Up: Zach teams up with Gourmand, Donita, and Paisley to collect the creepy creatures he wants to use for his haunted house.
