It's Greek week at Malibu University and Clover is psyched because she's going to pledge a new sorority, Phi Epsilon Phi, or PEP for short. Sam and Alex are not too interested, especially when they discover that Mandy and her equally obnoxious cousin Mindy are both PEP hopefuls! And the leader of PEP has a sinister plan which involves brainwashing her cronies.This episode includes examples of:
- Broken Record: The PEP sorority song, lampshaded by Alex.Alex: Hello? Broken record much? I mean, don’t these sisters know any other songs?
- Diagonal Cut: Sam does this to one of the lab’s robots using its own saw attachment.
- Fighting Your Friend: Alex and Sam are forced to fight Clover after she’s been turned into a mind-controlled PEP girl.
- Hairpin Lockpick: One of the gadgets the girls get for this week’s mission is a hair pick with a lock picking device inside it.
- Hypno Trinket: The PEP sorority pins that Muffy hands out to the new pledges are actually used to hypnotize them into helping her rid the campus of all the other sororities so she can have complete control of Mali-U.
- Immune to Mind Control: Because Alex sprayed some of the Frequency-Blocking Body Spray Jerry gave them on herself at the beginning of the episode, Muffy’s mind-controlling pins have no effect on her.
- Inconvenient Itch: In his statue disguise, Jerry asks Sam to itch his toe for him. However, it ends up just being his way to trick them into pressing a button that transports them to WOOHP.
- Mecha-Mooks: The girls get attacked by robots at the High-Tech Government Laboratory due to the increased security put in place after the robbery.
- Mind-Control Device: The girls are tasked with investigating a stolen mind control chip.
- Mona Lisa Smile: At the end of the episode, Jerry uses a new spying technique called portrait eavesdropping in which he speaks to the girls through a painting of himself that looks like the Mona Lisa.
- Nobody Here but Us Statues: While they’re walking through campus, Jerry starts talking to the girls through a statue of himself dressed in ancient Greek attire.
- O.O.C. Is Serious Business: The girls immediately know something weird is going on with Clover when she doesn’t care how disheveled she’s looking and starts getting along with Mandy and Mindy.Sam: Okay, so not only is Clover acting way weird but now she’s hanging with the Terror Twins?
- Punny Name: Muffy Peprich is the President of the PEP sorority.
- Revenge: Due to being constantly rejected by other sororities, Muffy decides to become the president of her own and eliminate every other sorority in the world.
- Secret Room: During their investigation, Alex and Sam hear Muffy detailing her evil plan from behind a fireplace. Alex leans on the wall and triggers an opening mechanism that leads to the secret room Muffy and her sorority sisters are meeting in.
- Shout-Out: The DEBS, the most popular sorority at Mali-U, is a reference to the 2004 movie D.E.B.S.
- Sinister Sorority Sisters: Muffy doesn’t seem like one at first, but beneath her friendly facade is a criminal mastermind that uses her mind-controlled sorority sisters to carry out her schemes.
- Start My Own: Muffy decides to start her own sorority after being turned away from every single one she tried to pledge to.
- [Verb] This!: Sam tells Clover to “Pledge this!”.
