Our heroes manage to fight off the Fury but Allanon is injured in the process. While trying to find him medicine, Wil and Amberle and captured by Eretria and taken to the Rovers camp to Cephelo, who has plans for them.

Tropes present in the episode:

  • Abusive Parents:
    • Bandon's parents kept him chained and muzzled in a tiny room in the family barn.
    • Cephelio is still just as abusive to Eretria as he was last episode, threatening to kill her multiple times.
  • Antagonist Title: The episode is named after the Fury, the demon chasing after Wil and Amberle.
  • Bat Out of Hell: The Fury looks like a giant bat monster.
  • Cast from Hit Points: When he uses the Elfstones to destroy the Fury, Wil passes out and greatly injures his hand.
  • Combat Pragmatist: Amberle tries provoking Eretria into a rematch. Eretria just walks over to her and knocks her out without bothering to untie her.
Wil: That wasn't even close to a fair fight!
Eretria: Well, the world isn't fair!
  • Defiant Captive: Amberle never drops the attitude when she's captured by the Rovers.
  • Doesn't Like Being Touched: Bandon, since his precognitive powers activate when someone touches him.
  • Eating the Eye Candy: Amberle does this to Wil when he gets shirtless to fetch mud from the Silver River.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Eretria has no problem capturing Wil and Amberle but isn't comfortable with killing them for sport.
  • Faux Affably Evil: Cephelio, especially when he's trying to convince Wil to join them of his own volition.
  • Healing Herb: The mud at the bottom of the Silver River.
  • Ironic Echo: When Wil takes off his clothes to dive into the river Amberle starts ogling him. He calls her out for being angry at him when their positions were reversed during their Naked First Impression from last episode.
Wil: What happened to "eyes up here"?
  • It's All My Fault: Amberle has this attitude for most of the episode, but Allanon talks her out of it.
Allanon: Everything, all of this, is not happening because of you, it is happening to you. And the sooner you accept that, the better.
  • Off with His Head!: Allanon does this to The Fury in the opening.
  • Poor Communication Kills: While Allanon is injured and tells Amberle and Wil to go ahead to Arbolon without him, he fails to mention his injury won't kill him and he can just heal himself with time, which prompts Wil and Amberle to be captured while trying to find a way to heal him.
  • Refusal of the Call: After delivering Amberle to Arborlon, Wil tells Allanon he's done with the whole destiny thing and tries walking away, but Bandon talks him out of it.
  • Rescue Reversal: While trying to find a way to heal Allanon, Wil and Amberle get captured and Allanon ends up having to rescue them.
  • Screw You, Elves!: The Rovers have a very poor opinion of Elves, and consider them as the real thieves who drove them out of their homes.
  • Seers: Bandon has the ability to see the potential moment of a person's death upon contact with him.
  • Survivor Guilt: Ander is very guilty about his brother Aine dying because of him.
  • You Should Have Died Instead: Ander accuses his father of wishing he had died instead of his elder brother.

What Happened To Eyes Up Here?

Wil happens upon Amberle bathing in a waterfall, and she angrily tells him to keep his eyes up. Later, when Wil has to disrobe to dive in a lake, he catches her ogling him and throws her words back at her.
