Release: February 18, 2014

Film: Ghost Dad

Tagline: The only ghost here is Bill Cosby’s movie career.

This review contains examples of:

  • Asshole Victim: After the hell he puts Malcolm and Tamara through in this episode, it comes as no surprise that the Critic gets what's coming to him at the end at the episode.
    Malcolm: So he's not dead.
Tamara: (seething with anger) No, but he'll wish he was.
  • Credits Gag: The ending credits play over the sounds of Tamara and Malcom beating up the Critic for pranking them.
  • Driven to Suicide: Critic after first watching the movie. Don't ask how he survived being set on fire.
  • Groin Attack: "Somewhere over your nutsack, balls are blue..."
  • Just Eat Gilligan: The Critic wonders why Bill Cosby's character Elliot doesn't just let scientists study him to get the money his family needs.
  • Memetic Molester: Invoked when the Critic thinks it's rather creepy when the nurse giggles when Elliot asks for privacy to take a urine sample.
  • No-Holds-Barred Beatdown: The Critic suffers an offscreen variant from both Malcolm and Tamara.
  • Our Ghosts Are Different: Parodying the film's unusual rules, Critic forces Malcolm and Tamara to go through a bunch of insane tasks in order to keep communicating with him. Subverted in that he was alive all along and just putting them through it to harass them.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: The Crazy Taxi guy leaves when he realizes that Ghost Dad is playing.
  • Sarcasm Failure: The explanation of how Cosby's character is An Astral Projection, Not a Ghost is so crazy that Critic literally has nothing to say about it.
  • Screamer Trailer: One is made for the film when The Critic realizes that a lot of the scenes could be used in actual horror movies.
  • Shout-Out:
    • The theme from Sorcerer plays when Cosby enters the cab.
    • Also the costumes and dialogue used in Malcom and Tamara's attempts to communicate with the Critic.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: The Critic gives one to Malcom and Tamara for being fooled and willing to humiliate themselves for the sake of his prank.
Critic: Quite frankly, you should be ashamed of yourselves for letting me take advantage of you like that. A ghost? A fucking ghost? You honestly fell for that? You were dumb enough to fall for all the stupid stuff I was making up off the top of my head. I mean, sexy Dorothy? Really? And look at you [Malcom]! You look like McGruff the Crime Bunny. Shame on you. Shame on you both!

Bliblldybliblldy like a bunny!
