Recap / The Lion Guard S 3 E 10 Friends To The End

Go To

Kion begins to get more crueler when the guard repeatedly hit distractions on their way to the Tree of Life.

This episode contains examples of:

  • Friendship Song: "Friends to the End", which is about how the Lion Guard will always be there for each-other, no matter what happens.
  • Heroic BSoD: Kion, after being called out for his behaviour, runs off in sadness, thinking that he's becoming just like Scar.
  • Jerkass Realization: After the rest of the Lion Guard call him out on his behaviour, Kion starts to realising how rude he was acting towards other animals (and his own friends).
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Kion reacts this way when he realized that he's been acting like a jerk to his friends.
  • Mythology Gag: Kion has a Rage Against the Reflection moment when he looks at his reflection and sees Scar's face in place of his own. This is similar to how Kovu saw Scar's face in his own reflection in the second film
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Throughout the episode, Kion acts rude, brash and impatient. Telling Beshte that they don't have time to make friends, deliberately running into a peacock, and growling at a snow leopard to scare it off. It takes a while, but Fuli calls him out on it.
  • Suddenly Shouting: Kion shouts as Bunga for calling him evil.
I'M NOT EVIL! Or maybe I am.
  • Took a Level in Jerkass: Kion is very rude and aggressive to other animals (including the members of the Lion Guard) throughout the episode. It's only after Bunga mentions what Rafiki said, and when the rest of the Lion Guard tell him how he was being harsh to other animals that he realizes how rude he was being.
  • What the Hell, Hero?:
    • Fuli calls Bunga out several times for calling Kion "evil".
    • Part way through the episode, the members of the Lion Guard tell Kion how harsh he was being, reminding him of various moments of the episode where he was rude to other animals.
