Will is asked to co-ordinate the school's Duke of Edinburgh award scheme, and immediately turns the situation to his advantage, using it as an opportunity to try to snare an older university student.
This episode contains examples of:
- Age-Gap Romance: Daisy is a few years older than Will and they very nearly have sex. It naturally doesn't go well for Will.
- Ambiguously Bi: Jay, of all people, given his willingness to stick his hand down Will's underpants in public (well, the sixth-form common room) in order to put hair removal cream on his genitals while he's asleep.
- Caught with Your Pants Down: Jay is volunteering at an old folks home, where he constantly wanks in empty rooms (which is quite in character for him). At one point he ends up looking for ANYTHING to do the deed to and finds a picture of a young woman in a bikini, which is enough to get him going. As soon as he reaches the point of no return, an elderly woman - who turns out to be the woman in the picture and who was in the room the whole time without Jay realizing - sees him and calmly says that she's seen it all before. Then a nurse comes in with the woman's grown son, who shakes hands with him (only to realize that he has an unknown goo on his hand). With the follow-up line from the woman "He did that over me, he did!"
- Cringe Comedy: The whole sub-plot about Will's pubes falling out (thanks to Jay putting hair removal cream on his genitals) is a bit difficult to watch at points, because it's just so embarrassing to Will. In a desperate attempt to get Daisy to sleep with him, he stuffs a wig down his underpants in order to try and convince Daisy (who's already unsure of whether she should have sex with him because of the age gap) that he's not too young for her. She, on realising that he doesn't have any pubes, chastises herself for being a paedophile.
- Downer Ending: Jay becomes bored watching over the old people and sneaks off to an apparent unoccupied room to masturbate. He gets caught by an old lady, which results in the boys getting kicked off the award scheme. Will loses his relationship with Daisy as well in the process (not that that was going well anyway).
- Everyone Has Standards: Jay seems genuinely ashamed of himself as soon as he finds out that he had unknowingly been masturbating in front of an old lady.
- Hidden Depths: During Will, Jay and Neil's stint at the retirement home, Neil is shown to be the most diligent worker of the three and to get along very well with the elderly.
- It Amused Me: Jay put the hair removal cream on Will's pubes for a laugh. He and Neil both think it was hilarious.
- I Was Quite a Looker: Jay masturbates over a photo of a hot-looking young woman he finds in the care home. It turns out to be that very room's elderly resident from fifty-odd years previously.
- Running Gag: Once again, Jay steals something from Sadie Cunningham's bag.
