Jinho comes first and having two hints to token of immortality spends some time trying to find it. But then he's interrupted by other players entering. After some pre-match banter, main match starts.

King game is played over 11 rounds. Each odd round all players make a pick between pointer finger or a thumb. King for the round decides where each player goes (including their royal self): side A or side B of the hall.

Players who are in the minority on each side according to their finger vote get a point. If picks on one side are all the same or number of pointer people is the same as number of thumb people — nobody on that side gets points.

Player has the right to defy king once and move to the other side but they have to pay a fine which increases with each act of rebellion starting from 2 garnets (so 2nd rebel pays 3 garnets, 3rd — 4 and so on).

At the end of a round, players gaining a point are announced and king elects new king for the next round among players who haven't been one yet.

The way this works "even" kings have an advantage because they have more information about other players' picks and can place other players and themselves to give themselves (or their allies) points and/or block others from getting any. For example, king can put just two players on one side which will leave them with no points regardless of their picks.

Because each king selects his successor, players can "chain" kings among their alliance. First king is picked by general vote.

After rehearsal, players split into two teams: Hongchul, Jinho, Sangmin, Jiwon and Jyunghyun. Lawyer Yoonsun, Dahye, Yooyoung, Eyunkul, Yohwan and Doohee form majority six-man team. Doohee caused quite a commotion because he initially went with Jinho's team but then switched to Yohwan's alliance. This made everyone in Jinho's team angry at Doohee because they became a minority.

Majority alliance voted their representative Dahye as the first king. They have taken the lead and are in advantage because they will have 3 kings on even rounds while the other team will only have 2 even rounds left.

The game starts but despite majority's alliance's advantage they keep losing. They start to suspect that they have a mole leaking their finger picks. They end their 6 rounds while barely gaining any points.

The other team takes over the king's throne and the truth is out — Doohee was a double agent all along. Previously, Jinho's team made quite a show of demonstrating their anger at "traitorous" Doohee, so he was beyond suspicion even when it became obvious that there is a mole.

Yoonsun's team implodes. She herself immediately joins the winning team, and so are Yohwan and Eyunkul. Dahye and Yooyoung just happened to be last two left and they cruelly become the targets of "two men on one side" tactic which robs them of any points while giving points to others, thus dooming them to deathmatch.

Deathmatch is familiar (but just as hard) "Gyul! Hap!" from season 1 finale. It seems like Go player Dahye should have an advantage in pattern recognition but after 10 rounds they surprisingly have the same amount of points. After additional round, Yoyooung wins with just one point advantage. Dahye is eliminated.

Tropes:

  • Ain't Too Proud to Beg: Yohwan begs the other team to save him on his knees.
  • Angry Dance: Sangmin's reaction to Yohwan stealing Doohee from their team.
  • Betrayal Insurance: Jinho's team takes Doohee's garnets to prevent him triple-crossing them.
  • Fake Defector: Doohee. Jinho's team make a big deal of Doohee "changing sides". Sangmin even jokingly threatens to cut his finger.
  • Friendship Trinket: Yohwan makes a paper boat as a symbol of trust between him and Doohee. Wehn Doohee reveals his double play Yohwan pleads to him to change back waving this paper boat.
  • Mirthless Laughter: when the truth of Doohee's betrayal is out and her team falls apart before her eyes, Yoyooung start to hysterically laugh.
  • The Mole: Doohee
  • Red Herring Mole: for a while, Yoyooung's team suspects Eyunkul.
  • Was It All a Lie?: asks Yoyooung when she sees Yoonsun and Eyunkul changing sides immediately when they realize their team can't win.
