Go To

Cleveland tries to help Junior get some friends.

Tropes:

  • Abusive Parents: Child services consider Lester and Kendra to be raising Ernie in a horrible living environment, and quickly take him away. However, Ernie's foster parents end up being far, FAR worse, and Lester convinces them to give Ernie back.
  • Accidental Innuendo: In-Universe. Cleveland looks for a teenage boy to become friends with Junior, and stops by a random boy on the streets. He asks Junior to come out of the car, but he's to depressed and scared. Cleveland goes out there, himself and introduces himself as Cleveland to the kid, and keeps asking the teenager if he would like to come into his car and meet Cleveland Junior. He says that he's tired of playing with him, and he just wants a young boy, about 13 to 16 to play around with him for a while, and even offers him money to do so. Instantly, the teenage boys calls the cops on him.
Cleveland: You know, now that I look over the transcript there, I can see how things might have gotten misconstrued.
  • Best Friend: Junior becomes this with Ernie.
  • Hypocritical Humor: Donna scolds Cleveland for calling child services on Lester even though it was Donna who told him to call child services. Cleveland even points this out.
  • I Just Want to Have Friends: Junior's conflict in this episode.
  • Idiosyncratic Episode Naming: The title of this episode, is a joke on the episode naming scheme of Friends.
  • Not on the List: Tim and Holt go to Las Vegas, but Holt isn't allowed into the awesome party club, because the bouncer thinks he's a child, for being so short.
  • Shopping Montage: Cleveland sees that Rallo has thrown his shoes up on the telephone line, where he can't get them back down. At first, Cleveland looks mad, as though he's about to punish Rallo, but then, he expresses extreme delight, saying that now he gets to go shoe shopping. Cue a silly, upbeat montage of Cleveland dancing around in a shoe store, and trying on various kinds of wacky shoes, before finally buying shoes that look just like his old ones.
