It is time to celebrate Halloween, but the Titans have lost interest due to growing up. So Raven tries to bring back their Halloween spirit by turning them into little kids!
Tropes:
- Bait-and-Switch: Raven putting on her costume is portrayed as very dark and serious, until it’s revealed that she’s actually dressing up as Sparkleface from “Pretty Pretty Pegasus.”
- Be Careful What You Wish For: The Titans want Halloween to be scarier and Raven gives them exactly what they wish for.
- Bed Sheet Ghost: Starfire’s Halloween costume.
- Bring My Brown Pants: Robin says he's had to change his pants three times throughout the night.
- Company Cross References: All three of the male Titans dress up as other DC heroes for Halloween:
- Robin as Superman
- Cyborg as Hawkman
- Beast Boy as Martian Manhunter
- Easily Forgiven: When Raven finally admits to being the one to summon the Halloween Spirit, the Titans aren’t mad at her as this was the best Halloween they’ve had in a while.
- Eye of Newt: Some of the ingredients for Raven’s spell to summon the Halloween Spirit include a witch’s eye and a dragon’s scale.
- Face Your Fears: The young and easily scared Titans must overcome their fears and brave the Halloween night in order to defeat the Halloween spirit.
- Fountain of Youth: The Halloween Spirit turns the other Titans into little kids after Raven asks for his help in making them enjoy the holiday again.
- Freeze-Frame Bonus: The picture of the group of villagers in Raven’s spell book looks suspiciously like the Teen Titans.
- Halloween Episode
- Incredibly Lame Fun: The Titans, minus Raven, see Halloween as this.
- Literal Genie: The Halloween Spirit takes Raven’s statement that the other Titans are too old for Halloween literally and makes them young again.
- Monster Mash: The Halloween Spirit makes several Halloween decorations come to life to attack the Titans including a witch, Frankenstein's monster, a werewolf, a skeleton, and a giant spider.
- Rhymes on a Dime: The Halloween Spirit
- Running Gag: Raven’s costume getting misidentified as different animals and her having to angrily correct people.
- Scary Flashlight Face: Raven does this to try to get the other Titans in the Halloween spirit. It doesn’t work.
- However, when she brings this gag back at the end of the episode it works on the now-normally aged Titans after the terrifying night they had.
