• Alien Among Us: Brown’s true form is an alien.
• Comical Overreacting: Mario assumes Red is an impostor because he eats mustard with his sandwiches.
  Brown: Come on guys, I like mustard too.
• Comically Missing the Point: When Mario sees Purple's mini crewmate, the mini crewmate is shown to be in tears due to her father getting killed. Mario assumes that it's the impostor trying to trick him and shoots her into space, despite the baby being obviously too little to cause any harm.
• Down to the Last Play: An Among Us match ends when there are as many crewmates as there are impostors. Near the end, the only survivors left were Mario, Green, and Brown. Brown would've won as an impostor if Green hadn't found his gun.
• Dumbass Has a Point:
  Mario: Wait a minute… How did you know we were in the room with the open vent?
• Foreshadowing: They're rather subtle, but when Purple's body is discovered, you can see Brown in the background behind Mario's hand, his reactions to the murders are rather laid back, and he's voiced by James who also voices SMG3.
• Hypocrite: When Mario accuses Red, his evidence is that red is a stupid color. Then what’s that mess he’s wearing?
• The Paranoiac: Both Mario and Red are incredibly aggressive in asserting who they think the Impostor is, usually only calming down when someone pokes holes in their logic.
• Punny Title: It's an "If Mario was in" video without the "in."
• Identical Stranger: Despite looking nothing alike, Mario assumes Green is Luigi because he's colored green. Even though the real Luigi shows up at the end, both Mario and Green assume he's another impostor and ejects him.
• I Never Said It Was Poison: Mario was able to catch the Impostor thanks to the fact he mentioned Mario and Green were in a room with an open vent... a room he shouldn't have been in.
• My Rules Are Not Your Rules: Crewmates can't use vents. Even though Mario isn't an impostor, because he isn't a crewmate either, he can escape through vents.
• Nice Guy: Brown is a rather pleasant and non-combatative crewmate, who only speaks up when he has something important to say in the discussions. Obviously this is Subverted due to the fact he's the impostor.
• Near-Villain Victory: Brown would have successfully gotten rid of the entire crew if Mario didn't catch on to him mentioning the room with the open vent that he shouldn't have known about.
• Shout-Out: The discovery of Yellow's body is framed up like a body discovery would be in Danganronpa.
• Suddenly Voiced: The Among Us characters only use voice acting during meetings. If they speak during any other time, they'll use subtitles.
• What the Hell, Hero?: The ejection subtitles call Mario out when he ejects Purple's mini crewmate.
