Recap / Supermarioglitchy4s Super Mario 64 Food Wars

Go To

The SMG4 crew have a war of EPIC & TASTY proportions.
When Peach goes on vacation, Mario and SMG4 decide to host a party. But when deciding what is the better food, candy or pizza, a food fight engages.

  • Bottle Episode: The entire episode takes place in Peach's Castle.
  • Bullying a Dragon: When the Pizza vs. Candy argument begins, Mario decides that the best way to settle it... is to kick the bags of candy out of Meggy and Tari's hands. You could probably guess how Meggy responds to that.
  • Continuity Nod:
    • When the feud between pizza and candy begins, Mario thinks it's Boys vs. Girls like the respectively titled episode, only for Saiko to point out she and Belle are girls who are on his side, not to mention the opposing side is also mostly boys.
    • SMG3's old crew has integrated with SMG4's group after the events of WOTFI 2020, the sole exceptions being Melony and the Luigi Doll, who are nowhere to be seen (although we do see a watermelon—without any headphones or a beanie).
  • Enemy Mine: After Peach returns home and throws a tantrum upon finding the party the gang threw, both Team Pizza and Team Candy set their feud aside to gang up on her, leading to their reconciliation in the end.
  • Feud Episode: A schism forms in the gang over what food to put on the main party table, with Mario leading those who prefer pizza and fried foods (SMG4, Shroomy, Rob, Saiko, Whimpu, and Belle), and Meggy leading those who prefer candy and sweets (Tari, Luigi, Boopkins, JubJub, Bob, and Axol).
  • Food Fight: The premise of the episode has Mario and Meggy duking it out with food-based and decorated weapons to prove the superiority of their favorite party foods.
  • Here We Go Again!: After reconciling their differences and agreeing that both pizza and candy belong at a party, Mario and Meggy team up against Bowser when he comes to the party with Chinese food.
  • One-Winged Angel: At the climax, Peach turns into a form that looks like Saxton Hale in a wig.
  • Would Hurt a Child: Saiko squishes Jub Jub flat with her KFC hammer during the fight in the clock room.
