Plankton replaces the Chum Bucket with a flower shop under the guise of a charming new owner.
"The Flower Plot" contains examples of:
- Becoming the Mask: Plankton comes to like being a florist and running a flower shop that he decides he wants to continue doing so while putting his plan of stealing the formula on hold.
- Everyone Has Standards: Other than being angry about losing the flower arrangements, Mr. Krabs is also upset at Plankton for playing with Squidward's heart.
- Got Me Doing It: Petunia ends all of her sentences with "Huh!", and after a while, other characters start saying it.
- Leg Cling: After finding out Plankton's moving away, SpongeBob does what is possibly the closest one he could do given the Plankton's size.
- Loves My Alter Ego: Squidward quickly gets a crush on Plankton's disguise, Petunia.
- Ocular Gushers: SpongeBob does this when he cries about Plankton leaving.
- Oh, Crap!: Plankton's reaction when remembering that he laced all the Krusty Krab's floral arrangements with dynamite.

SpongeBob builds a float for the Krusty Krab to enter in the annual Bikini Bottom Parade, but he winds up using the secret formula as one of the props, attracting Plankton's attention.
"SpongeBob on Parade" contains examples of:
- Big "WHAT?!": Mr. Krabs shouts this after finding out that SpongeBob used the secret formula as a prop for the float.
- Brick Joke: The Ice-cream King complains about wanting the Mrs. Puff balloon, which is actually Mrs. Puff herself. At the end of the episode, the Ice-cream King floats away on top of Mrs. Puff.
- The Bus Came Back: After being retired from the series following their voice actors' passing, Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy appear in the parade, albeit unvoiced.
- Call-Back:
- SpongeBob creates an imaginary rainbow like he did in "Idiot Box".
- The Nitwitting Club are part of the parade.
- The Cameo: Flatts, Patrick Not-Star, and Helen the Felon can be seen watching the parade. Kevin also has a float in the parade.
