Original air date: 4/1/1998

An April Fool's episode centered on Terrance and Philip that aired instead of the resolution of who Cartman's father was.

After another failed attempt to have Terrance and Phillip killed, Scott the Dick teams up with Saddam Hussein to kill Terrance and Phillip.

"Terrance and Phillip in Not Without My Anus" contains examples of:

  • Anti-Climax: While searching for his daughter Sally, who's being held hostage in Iran, Terrance wonder how they'll ever find her since they don't speak the language, they're foreigners in a hostile country, and have no idea where to start...
Phillip: Oh look, there she is! *cut to Sally standing completely unguarded and unharmed a few feet away*
  • Character Catchphrase: "Hey relax, guy/buddy" or "You need a rest, guy." from Saddam Hussein.
  • Department of Redundancy Department: "I got you now, fart-loving fart lovers!"
  • Disproportionate Retribution: Scott hates Terrance and Phillip because they make fart jokes, so he tries to convict them of a crime every week and teams up with Saddam Hussein to murder them.
  • Faux Affably Evil: Saddam Hussein, he might act friendly and personable, but he's still a dictator intent on covertly taking over the world, starting with Canada.
  • Find Out Next Time: During the credits, the announcer from the ending of "Cartman's Mom Is a Dirty Slut" is heard to say, "Who is Eric Cartman's father? Find out on an all new South Park, in just a few weeks."
  • Heroic Sacrifice: Scott tries to make Terrance and Phillip do one for Canada. Subverted because they found a better way to save Canada.
  • Hypocritical Humor: Terrance and Phillip think Americans have weird heads. They're Canadians and by the show's default art style designed with flappy heads.
  • Informed Deformity: Ugly Bob is apparently so hideous that he needs to wear a bag on his head to spare everyone else from seeing his grotesque face. In reality, he looks exactly like Terrance and Phillip except with brown hair. At first it seems like he's only ugly by Canadian standards until Saddam also reacts in horror to his face.
  • Informed Flaw: Parodied with Ugly Bob. He looks like every other Canadian, but everyone from Terrance and Phillip to Saddam Hussein is horrified by his ugliness. The guys give him a paper bag to put over his head.
  • Interrupted Intimacy: Downplayed example. Saddam walks in on Céline Dion and Ugly Bob naked in bed, but they weren't having sex anymore
  • Jerkass: Scott the Dick certainly lives up to his name, as he seeks to get rid of Terrance and Phillip just because he doesn't like them.
  • Karma Houdini: Scott gets no comeuppance for working with a dictator to try and murder Terrence and Phillip and then helping them get into Canada, beyond his plans to kill Terrence and Phillip failing, and getting farted on again.
  • Mutually Fictional: Invoked. Terrance and Phillip are seen watching the previous episode, "Cartman's Mom is a Dirty Slut", on TV and commenting on the look of American heads.
  • No, You: Terrance and Scott get into a "You're a dick!" argument over the phone.
  • Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: Saddam not only screws over Scott by using him in his takeover plot of Canada, but doesn't even bother killing Terrence and Phillip like he agreed. In retaliation, Scott dupes the duo into a seeming kamikaze mission to stop Suddam, though they instead figure out a safer way to take him out, meaning Scott doesn't get what he wants either.
  • Noodle Incident: The whole story behind Terrance's love affair with Céline Dion.
  • Pragmatic Villainy: Saddam forgoes having his troops in Tehran ready to kill Terrence and Phillip as he arranged with Scott and even leaves Sally unharmed and unguarded. This of course is not out of leniance, but simply because he brought his army to takeover Canada, as well as making apparent to Scott what an unreliable double crosser he is.
  • Rule of Three: Terrance farting into the phone while talking to Scott. The third time is interrupted by Scott.
  • Running Gag:
    • Terrance and Phillip randomly farting and laughing about it.
    • Mixing up Iraq and Iran and saying "Iraq, Iran, what's the difference?"
  • Shout-Out:
    • The title and Terrance trying to find his and Celine Dion's daughter is based on the film Not Without My Daughter.
    • To The Empire Strikes Back.
Saddam: I am altering the deal. Pray I don't alter it any further.
Scott: This deal's getting worse and worse all the time.
  • Snipe Hunt: Terrance and Phillip randomly stop what they're doing and try to find treasure.
  • Toilet Humor: It's a Terrance and Phillip episode and they fart a lot, even in court. At one point, the Head Juror has to yell over their farts just to make herself heard.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Kroff Dinnanote , to the point that Terrance and Phillip ask that they be buried alongside it if they die in Iran.
  • Trolling Creator: The South Park episode Terrance and Phillip watch features a scene where Dr. Mephesto reveals who Cartman's father is, but the reveal is drowned out by their laughter. If you listen very closely, you can tell that there's no actual dialogue underneath.

Ugly Bob

Terrance and Phillip insult Ugly Bob and give him a paper bag to wear over his head, even though he has the exact same face as them.
